Just by the demo alone, quite a fun climbing game, if a bit weird at first. It is fully free form climbing. Honestly lookin forward to the full release.

While this is an interesting game, and I like the art style, the main issue would be whether or not you consider that a game that's about 3 hours long is worth $20.

Either way, the game is nice, I liked it, but it is on the shorter side. There are multiple endings, some of which are, I've heard, convoluted, but that's not surprising for a FNAF game.

On the other hand, at least once you beat the game, you can customise the difficulty to make your next playthrough way harder (Including disabling noise makers, and hiding places of your choosing, or even making noise makers break eventually. That is not the type of customisation you see often, and I like that).

If you enjoyed the first game, you will like the second one. I'm not very far into the game yet, but there are already plenty of new additions. It improves uppon the first game's systems, which to me is what any sequel should aspire to be.

This aside, if you've never played the first game, this is essentially Hotline Miami, but not one-hit kills, and with a stealth system. (And if you've never played Hotline Miami, basically, you got buildings, top down view, guards patrol the area, and you got a target to kill, or some other mission like that. But Hotline Miami is very aggressive (which you can play this game like Hotline Miami if you wish), while this game has a more stealthy approach, which you can ignore).
As well as a lot of interactivity with the game's environment. Enemies react to sounds, blood, doors being open, lights being turned off, and many more, all the while, you can play around with these systems, such as turning a breaker off (and even destroying it if you wish), turning on fire alarms in some missions, in order to help you complete your mission either by sneaking in, or to just go loud and kill everyone.

The only "downside" I'd give to the game, is that if you wish to not restart a mission because you got spotted last second and shot, you'd better remember to save. The game gives you no, or almost no checkpoints in missions. It's not bad, just if you did sneak through a long mission killing nobody, and end up dying because of one mistake, you will not be happy if you end up at the start again. But it's not really a downside per say, just might annoy some people.

Either way, I do recommend this game. It's fun. Go play it.

Just one more game simulator. 10/10 would go to bed at 4am again.

Also props to the music composer for making such an epic 4 minute loop for the entire game's soundtrack (With 5 modular variations). It may be 4 minutes long, but it is quite the banger, AND you wont get bored of hearing it.

Early Access Review
This is a pretty cool game. It is essentially a mix of Project Zomboid (for the traits and skill system) with a more progression and exploration based survival game, all within a "Half-Lifesque" universe. The GATE facility is essentially some weird Black Mesa, and I absolutely love it.

What is there to say about Rimworld? If the thousands of good reviews didn't already sell you on it, it is an amazing colony and story simulator where the game will, depending on your luck and the difficulty you pick, challenge your colonists while you attempt to work towards fleeing the planet.
You don't want to leave? Then don't! Unless you set a death timer in a custom scenario, the game isn't going to prevent you from just doing that.

Think the base game is a tiny bit boring after a while? Get the DLCs! Not enough? Just browse the steam workshop!
And then set yourself stupid challenges, like surviving on the permafrost ice sheet without playing as a furry (From the biotech DLC, there is a race of furred people, they survive... Okay in the cold).

Plus the music is great, and the game is... Mostly fair. The 1.5 release at the time of writing has brought MANY quality of life features which makes the game ever better. The Anomaly DLC also brought more content for people who seeked this.

The only issue with the game is that you might not want to stop playing it, and then realise it is already 2am and you got work tomorrow.

It is a pretty good game, the dev never abandonned his project like some people claim, he just took a huge break due to personnal problems. Also, the game's essentially made in paint, so you gotta admit there are some epic skills.

I heard everyone was crying about "muh graphics" because the game isn't at the 1920x1080 resolution... I went to check out MGS3. I would advise the people who cry about graphics to launch the game on PS2, and take off their nostalgia goggles. Sure the game isn't in the highest res possible. That is fine to me, it's a game that's 20 years old.

Could it be better? Yes. Is it as horrible as people claim it to be? ♥♥♥♥ no.

While everyone is gonna cry about it, I'm just gonna enjoy my good ol metal gear games, and wait for Konami to finaly re-release MGS4 out of the PS3.

Amnesia: The Bunker is a very good game for any fan of Frictional Games, which is good news after the slight letdown that Rebirth was (Which in my opinion was more a pacing issue than anything else). However, it is not a perfect game. Here are the pros and cons I would consider for this one :

PROS :
- A fresh design for Frictional, who strayed a bit away from their usual formula. Instead of a linear path through large areas with a few puzzles, you get a small location, and the freedom of approaching the challenges on your path. A locked door? You can blow it up, or throw a rock at it, or bait the monster into breaking it... Or maybe there is another way in that room, and you can just unlock it. The entire game tend to follow this idea. But the puzzles are still there, just in a confined environment.

- To add on that fresh design, I'd add that the game has a tint of survival horror with some ressources management other than just healing, so it is kinda closer to Penumbra in that regard.

- A threat that is always present. That is usually not the case for Frictional, the monsters either despawn, or once you're out of their area, they are good as despawned. Here, the monster is always there, and it wont let you be.

- Stress created via a timer rather than just the spooky monster in the dark. You are kinda on the clock, but at the same time, not really, it all depends on your approach, and what you want to get away with.

- A story that... isn't weird? Yeah, that's kinda rare for Frictional, but their story is actually pretty grounded for once. That is not a complaint btw, but for once the story is clear enough to understand the first time, even if you miss a few documents, which for the Amnesia series, that's nice.

- The game has replay value in mind. Items and door codes get shuffled around the bunker each playthrough. Major items however don't seem to change location for obvious reasons, but common loot does.

- And most importantly, the return of custom stories, with workshop support! That is a huge selling point for this game, and will extend its lifecycle greatly. Thank you Frictional for bringing this back with the steam workshop!

Neutral opinion :

- My first playthrough took me around 5h. It may be a bit short for some. I think the game doesn't overstay its welcome so it's kinda not a con, but for some it may be, given most of their titles are around the 10h mark. I think the price is fair, but some will disagree at a price of 25€. Still, I would say it is well worth it, especially with the custom stories that will eventually show up, extending its life.

CONS :

- The monster isn't the xenomorph from Alien Isolation, it remains a Frictional Games monster. It may be more dynamic than usual and I do like that, but if you know how the AI in their games work, it is still kinda that same, if you know how to deal with it, you usually get by just fine. But it does its job well.

- I don't know if it is to be considered a con... But I didn't find much difference in the difficulty setting from normal to hard. My guess is it is just damage related, but Hard mode felt the same as Normal for me, so who knows.
