Old classic that shows what a remarkable begining the Assasins Creed series had, there are both old issues and descisions that bore such fruit later on. Great start and runs on the Steam deck well enough. Part of the intro runs weirdly slow but as soon as you get past that the rest of the game runs very smoothly at 1080 on an external display.

I highly recommend checking out this demo. It pitches a fine mileau between video-game mechanics and real-world climbing, chosing to highlight the feel of climbing over the photorealistic representation of it. If you want photoreal, go watch the freeclimbers of the 70's-today in video and photo. If you want the feel before you go to a climbing wall or otherwise, this is a good place to start.

Great 6 player co-op with modding and custom campaign support! LAN browser hasn't been working which is annoying, but supports Steam Play and Epic cross play so good overall.
Works with Linux out the box!

Doesn't work on Linux, what do you want me to do?

Pretty good game that's received a wealth of updates and upgrades over it's life. Definitely still worth playing today minus the upscaling and frame insertion tools that make it become a visual mess. Slick, fun, big story, small price!

Another DLC-ridden cash grab of a game from Paradox, similar trend to Cities Skylines 2 but not quite as bad. Experience a bunch of systems get dumbed down, watch as content that was clearly meant to be included in the base game is sold as $5-10 DLC, enjoy your multiplayer experience still unable to synchronise mods between different clients.

Early Access Review
In lieu of Steam offering a 'neutral' review
This Early Access game does is very much impacted by EAitis.
However even on Linux this 4-player PvE Extraction game is pretty damned good for the price, especially compared to other offerings on Steam and elsewhere.
Flaws
  1. Low FPS even with Feral gamemode. Recommend using forced FSR.
  2. Offline water drain - No ability to chose whether the save file will have offline water drain or not.
  3. Slightly clunky movement.
Strengths
  1. 4 player co-op independent of the devs? Looks dependent on Epic Game Services though, even if you can use it without an account.
  2. Epic PvEvE battles. Watching two or even all three sides descend on each other while you watch is amazing, and leaves all that loot to go over afterwards.
  3. Base "Innards" upgradeability.
Should you get this?
I think you should but only if you're willing to risk playing the game in it's unfinished state should the devs bail tomorrow. And they seem like nice people but life throws curveballs sometimes. But if you want a decently polished product, come back in a year.

Even though you only hear them as snippets on takeoff, that's the perfect amount to set the tone for what you're going to do.

Early Access Review
This game is a great way to introduce you to Python scripting.
So far it seems gentle but I suspect every budding programmer is going to hit a cliff at some point, when you do:
Try at least one of these things
  • Get away from the screen and touch grass
  • Make a hot drink
  • Get a cold drink
  • Talk to your rubber duckie, or any inanimate object you can describe your problem to
  • Go to the Python manuals and look up the function that's not working the way you expect
  • See if an amazing Indian person hasn't already explained this issue on YouTube
  • Check the Steam Guides for this game
  • Find someone knowledgeable and friendly to be a wall for you to talk to
  • Sleep on it

Personally my one is the sunflower puzzle, I know I probably want to make a list or dictionary but it'll take a minute to figure out how I want to do it.

What I would love to see
  • Multiple drones
  • More plant types
  • More terrain types
