I remember playing Wreckfest years ago when it was only called Next Car Game. All the improvements they have made over the years are amazing. Physics, graphics, lighting, everything. This game (now) makes the classic Flatout series look boring. (Almost)

ETS2/ATS are not games that you can simply play for a few hours at a time until you get interested in something else. Nor are they something that you can invest a moderate amount time in, but then be through with it after a year or two. The ETS2/ATS simulator series will actually occupy your life in an ever so pleasant way. Once you get started, the amount of time that you will invest in it, will be similar to having a second job. With an incredibly strong community backing from the players (drivers/truckers), real life trucking companies and manufacturers, and even full-on truck-sim-dedicated radio station streams, these SCS titles will stay strong for many years to come.

I loved this game on mobile years ago. Now it's on Steam! And it has a lot more stuff to do! Very fun.

Haven't had a chance to try this since getting it with the Euro Truck Simulator 2 bundle years ago. I have to say, this one was the only one worth keeping. The game engine and performance are that of ETS2 so it ran and looked pretty well. Plus there are a lot of Scania history videos and slideshows, and interesting challenges that you don't get with ETS2. The only thing I did not like about it was the lack of a large screen browsable map in the pause menu to plan your route in "freeform driving" mode. So you can get lost easily. (The map is surprisingly large.) But since ETS2 has been out for quite some time already and has advanced so far, Scania TDS can be treated like more of an ETS2 companion app. Play ETS2 for your serious side of simming, and play this one (STDS) for when you want to take a break from long hauls and/or your competitive side comes out.

Writing this after 12 hours: At first I thought it was basic, with short play time and not a lot of content, because of the look of the graphics and the size of the map. But it still kept me interested. So I did all the jobs and assumed (like an idiot) that there wasn't much more. I was satisfied that I played a very interesting game, and I thought the end was near. Then I unlocked the 2nd map....... That caught me by surprise. But it is now safe to say that my play time will most likely multiply x5, easily. I won't give any spoilers, but like most game progression through maps, the next one is always bigger, way bigger. (And looks much nicer too!) So for those of you losing interest, just wait until you rank up your company.

Took an hour an a half just to configure system settings, account creation, character creation, before finally getting into a server and starting some kind of tutorial that doesn't even tell you where to go. So far I'm losing interest quickly. Will change to thumbs up if it gets easier.

Edit after 2 more hours: Tutorial doesn't go away. No guide to show you where to go. Can't find "Edan" (the first task of the tutorial). Camera is way above character so all you can see is the top of his head. Keeps asking me to practice combos. That won't go away either. I don't like games that require you to spend an entire day just to figure out basic functions that you should easily be able to do in a few minutes.

Laughter suppressant required to play this game. Especially if you were around when South Park first came out. No, really. You need something to keep you from laughing so much. Or else you will lose focus and lose a lot of battles. Don't forget to eat a lot of beans before playing also. Trust me. It helps.

Very basic port of an already mobile game. Not exciting enough for PC use.

Quite possibly the most addictive idle game I've played to date. I love how everything is logically put together to create something else. Makes you realize how complex the system is to get the food and products we enjoy today. In reality, it probably took a few centuries for all these things to come together.
