Way too addictive.

If I can get past the crashing video of Putin maybe I can enjoy it. Every time the video tries to play, you see a few frames of it, but then the game crashes. But even with as many times as I restarted it and resumed where I left off, I unlocked everything in under 10 minutes. Very stupid.

Gets boring very quickly. I thought it was kinda cool at first because it reminded me of older RPGs from the 90's. Building up your character's attributes and buying new weapons and stuff. But you can only do quests for so long before you get aggravated. Even concentrating on quests that give you the most XP instead of money, it still took me an entire month to reach lvl 20. I just now started with the Arena and the Dungeons. Still need to get to lvl 25 just to start building your own fortress. And level 75 to unlock pets! WTF? But this is all you can do in this game for the first several months. Very boring.

So if I play for another week I finally get to start building my own Fortress. Whoopie! Takes too long to get there. And then once you are there whats it good for? Doesn't seem to be any clue as to what you do with it other than "Hey cool I got a fortress." Boring.

But the biggest thing that is really making me quit, is there is no proper way to search and join Guilds. You click on the Guild button and there is an option to start your own, but that's it! Was trying to figure how to search other guilds and look at their details and maybe join one. But there is none. You can kinda look at the Hall of Fame and see other players and the Guilds they have created. But still no way to see the membership details or join one of them. Kinda stupid if you can create your own guild but you end up being the only member.

So after all that you end up just keep doing quests all day until you run out of energy. Then maybe do a few Arena matches. And then maybe one or two Dungeon matches. And then shut it off as you wait for your energy to replenish so you can do it all over again the next day. Maybe if they made it so you can start building you Fortress at lvl 15 and get Pets at level 25 there would be something coming sooner to keep you interested. And have something in the Guild button to search and join other Guilds. But there is a lot lacking in this game and what there is takes too long to get. So I'm out.

The first one was amazing enough as it is. The second one was mind blowing. I don't know any better way to describe these puzzles other than to say that they are very similar to what Indiana Jones tinkered with in his movies. Which is why I am such a fan of these games. Keep up the amazing work Fireproof. You have my imagination in the palm of your hands. I can't wait for the Steam release of The Room Three. I am glued to my seat for more.

After about 45 mins of nothing but reading one line at a time, and wearing out my mouse button clicking the forward arrow 500+ times, with absolutely no interaction other than that, I lost interest.

I thought this would be interesting. It says this is a game somehow. But it's not. It's just an animated novel. Nothing more.

If at the very least I would be able to read an entire paragraph at a time, without clicking a button for every single sentence, then maybe I wouldn't have made the decision to uninstall this.

Also, the author needs to understand how to keep a reader's focus. That very idea of reading one line at a time, and clicking the arrow every time, keeps the eyes focused downward. Which in turn makes you sleepy. Which in turn makes you not even pay attention to the pictures or animation anymore. And all you are doing is zombie-like clicking.

It's this easy loss of focus that leads to loss in interest, which then leads to even less interest in keeping it.

Talk about severely bad acting and direction. I'm not going to elaborate. I could easily do so and I would have a list of stupid things a mile long. You watch it, and see for yourself. You can watch all of them in under an hour. Have fun wasting your time.

As a student of Jules Verne's works I was initially skeptical, and hesitant, to be overly excited about this game before I even tried it. I purchased it as soon as I had heard about it, but it sat in my library, me waiting for the right time to play it. I thought maybe it would only take a few minutes of my time to decide whether or not it was worthy of keeping.

So finally I gave it a shot. And it happened. It captured me. I suddenly realized that already several hours had passed and I needed to go to bed. But it got me. I was on a mission to complete my first game.

I had played through entirely, without so much as a small break, for about 10 straight hours* (see below). I was so enthralled that it captured my imagination as the book did so many years ago.

...except with a twist...

Those of us that remember the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series of books from the 80's would definitely get a kick out of this. A CYOA version of 80 Days Around the World! How cool (and kinda geeky) is that?

Now if only the developer would make other adventure games similar to this, based on other inspiring adventure novels from the past...... That would be awesome!!! Continuing with the other works of JV course. ;)

*Steam Note: I KNOW I played for at least 10 hours, from 8pm to 6am to be exact, but it says I only have 5.0 on record. Strange bug.

I've been waiting for this since I bought the game. Actually the only reason I bought CMS18 so soon was because it featured the Cuda in the previews. I actually restored a 1971 Cuda 440 big block when I was a bit younger so this was a mandatory download for me.

I like this car. It reminds me of the '67 Mini Cooper I used to own and how easy it was to work on. So easy that you can fix practically anything on the side of the road. One minor bug though, when unmounting some of the rear suspension parts the bolts rotate incorrectly (along the wrong axis of the 3d model of the bolt). So it looks kinda funny at first, spinning round and round, instead of along the threads. But if you just ignore that and realize that it does not affect the game, it's fine. They might fix it in a patch anyway.

Quite possibly the most addictive strategy game I've played in a while. But I might be biased a bit because of my law enforcement background.

The fact that you are not stuck playing only a few developer's-choice maps, and can literally download hundreds (if not thousands) of maps of almost any place in the world, makes it never boring and continuously fun for hours. And it's pretty much bug free. Unless you call not being able to download a very specific home town, a bug. It's fracking awesome!

My "American" home town (I'm originally from the UK) is a suburb of Chicago, IL. Being the 3rd largest city in the USA, I immediately assumed that the area was too big and you would only be able to grab a generic map of, well, metro Chicago.  But I was able to grab maps for almost every suburb in the surrounding area. Areas that I am familiar with. That is what makes it so cool.

Only one downside to the map downloads. Sometimes if the city you choose is very large, the map turns out to be only a square portion of the center, or "metro" part of the city. But this game is so much fun, that can easily be overlooked.  For example, I currently live in South Tampa, or the Palma Ceia neighborhood, of Tampa, FL, which is in the Southwestern corner of the city. But when you select Tampa, FL, the furthest Northeast corner of my neighborhood is actually the Southwestern corner of the map, barely.

Maybe they can create an option to create a map centering on specific map coordinates (using the map coordinates tool on any map site) so that you can get the part of town you want, instead of just the middle. Like in the search box, I should be able to enter the coordinates, instead of a city name. And it will create a map centered on that instead. But that idea can be proposed to the devs later.

Okay so I'm talking a lot about the map choices. But the rest of the game features are great as well. The interface is very easy to understand. The icons and lightly done animations allow you to quickly understand what's going on at all times. The incoming call voices are realistic with well done voice acting. Some are repetitive and need to be expanded a bit. (I keep laughing at the guy reporting "a strange car" in a parking lot.)  But you can always choose to not answer calls (letting the "other dispatchers" do that) and simply manage the units.

There are even real safety tips and advice from actual law enforcement, fire department, and paramedic training courses in between your "shifts" on the job.  This is actual learning and training you can use in the "real world".  How cool is that?

Overall I'm very impressed with how well this game was put together and how thoroughly the devs worked out the bugs (if any even existed).  Great game for anyone who is a fan of public safety, scanner listeners, or anyone wanting to become a police dispatcher. This is a great test of your multitasking skills.  All thumbs up here!
