SE is a wild FPS that brings back the modifiable environments from classics like Ace of Spaces, BlockOut, and mixes it all with a weapon sandbox that highlights the destructibility of the terrain.
The sandbox is projectile based (no hitscan, but no gravity either) which makes long range combat trickier. Predict your foe's movements instead of tracking them perfectly! Or do both! I am not your mother.
Coordinate with your team using a built in proximity voice chat that takes advantage of the game's gorgeous 3D audio (fully path traced!), explode towers and watch them fall onto your rival's heads for an easy but situational kill streak, or sit back with a sniper to provide covering fire. The sandbox is balanced enough that you can play any role you choose and find success.
Explosive weapons take on new meaning when defensive structures will have holes poked into them by every shot. What you lose in DPS you gain back when exposing that target to your entire team in a brilliant solitrium flare!
Looking to style on an opponent? Try throwing a grenade and shooting it out of the air before it lands, right on top of that Helix Agent's dumb face!

This game is difficult. Individual runs are long. Dungeons will get you killed. Hours of preparation and planning will go to waste because of a bad roll.
Such is the life of an adventurer: grueling; the threat of death looming on every tile.

You can play with your 2 friends (be honest having more than two friends is hard work) and conquer (read: be conquered by) the world together! Makes for a great backdrop for whatever small talk you had planned, but don't be fooled, if you and your party aren't in perfect sync you aren't even beating this game on easy!
