Buying for the lich.

So... after seeing the survivors added in this chapter?.... I was ... not impressed. I VERY nearly just skipped the survivors and only bought the lich. Because I do want to play as him and have fun with the unique gameplay and such.

BUT. But, the chapter costs 7 dollars. If I was to buy only the lich in game with Auric Cells (real life money to in-game money), it would cost 5 dollars...

So... at that point... why not just buy the chapter as a whole? 2 more dollars for more content instantly instead of having to search the shrine for months and months for their perks? might as well.

And if I was to change my mind in the future? maybe the survivors that look and seem boring asf come out with a cosmetic I like? then I'm now paying TEN dollars for buying lich and the survivors separately in game.

How the devs decided that makes sense is BEYOND me. 7 dollars for the chapter. 10 dollars for getting the chapters content (characters) separately. and then ontop of that, with the cheaper purchase as a whole, I get bonus outfits (pretty sure.)

like... ok.

I literally love this game more than real life. I wish it was real life. I love just free roaming around this amazing mall like place, and doing whatever I want. Whatever order, etc. I literally hate life so much everytime I get off this game, because this game is so fun and amazing. I'm in love with Freddy, too. Truly in love.

HOWEVER, this game does have so many bugs, its crazy. I played this when it first came out, and chica STILL teleports right behind you multiple times while chasing you, the loading dock and prize counter missions are bugged or weird if you do the other one first and then go to that one later, monty spawns ontop of the hut in the stage music disk early part of the game, and that happened every time I played recently... like wtf. How is the game out for a year now and still have all these bugs? idk. But I love this game regardless.

Final point... I really hope Scott makes a multiplayer FNAF game one day. Please.
A 3D world like this, and a super amazing and fun mall like this probably as the main area. It'd be like VR chat, but with FNAF. Customizable nightguards, animatronics, and maybe even parents/kids/teens as other options to play as too.

You could play fnaf 1-5 and basically all the games, with other players, so it'd be like someones Freddy on game 1, someones chica, bonnie, foxy, and someones the nightguiard. Except there's voicechat and text chat, emotes, accessories for the animatronics and night guard, the night guard's desk and room customizable, etc. Each win or kill in a game gets you coins.

Imagine playing fnaf 1 and some custom animatronic with a silly face dances at you on the camera.

But just... imagine this game, but multiplayer, and a place to chill, instead.

I... I think I'd never get off the game, though.. Cause that would just be too amazing.
I love this game.

Completely empty, sadly.

Seems fun. Have yet to play, and know how it is. Because every time I try to play, there's no lobbies to join.

Amazing game. Makes you feel isolated, yet captivated by beauty. At the end, it was like the world was coming down around you, but you had someone by your side... And then they kinda betrayed you. Your character tries to stay hopeful, clearly. But she didn't seem like she was were going to pursue seeing him, in a scared of the events here, and selfish way.

The ending is very sad. It seriously feels like he came here, for something. To get away from it all. And left there with only more on his shoulders, and having to go back to it all, once again. Barely changed.

I wish we could have saw Deliliah, in the game. I wish that it could've went differently that way. That maybe we could've talked her into seeing him.
That maybe we could've even made her stay and wait for him with the Heli, before she got on hers, if we chose the right dialog there and built a good relationship or something.

I feel very sad after the ending :( I really really hope you guys release a second game, and expand on the story, their relationship, etc.
Maybe it takes place back at where he lives, and we visit his wife, see her parents, deliliah comes to visit, etc. Ending would depend on how we take that visit.

I do have to say, also. I wish there was an FOV option in the game. Felt too close, but it was fine.
I wish there was also a thirdperson setting. (With his head included. I know hes headless, from a reddit post on firewatch sub)
I wish we could've saw more people. It really felt like the game was scared of showing people, and REALLY felt like the developers just did not want to put in the effort of making characters. Like, you never assumed you'd see people, in the game, at some point, because of this.

Even the two girls at the lake were just these black figures, even during daylight and not that far away.. like? I understand the alternative is them nude, cause the skinny dipping, but I don't see why that's an issue, it's the human body. Even beyond that, couldve done non just black undetailed figures, and instead any skin tones, but no genitalia detailed onto the bodies.

Either way. This is a great game, but you guys better release firewatch 2. please. Maybe he goes out and does this again, even. Instead of the where he lives idea that I had.
Maybe we don't have deliliah at first. but maybe she actually comes back onto the job 2-3 weeks after he does, because she heard he did. Maybe she joins him in the tower. Or comes and sees him.

Just please, continue the story. We need this. It needs to continue.

And please let us see her.

Early Access Review
Freaking awesome, dude. Had a gaming headset and was so excited to finally use it on Phasmaphobia. My older non gaming pc didn't output enough power i guess because it didn't work on that pc at some point, so I didn't play phasmaphobia till I got this gaming pc. Wanted to have the full experience, mic and all. Got on some matches, everyone was friendly and awesome, charismatic unlike me, who took some time (about 1-2 matches) to even talk more than once in 3 minutes. Found a group of people that were awesome and played multiple matches with.

I don't get scared easily anymore, so this game doesn't really scare me, but nothing really does, so.
I can get jumpscared, but that's just natural instincts. but the thing with me and fears is years ago I would confront my nightmares, found them interesting, and actually pushed into them, tried to understand why they made me afraid.

Ever since I did that I swear to you I've never had a nightmare again. Closest thing are really uncomfortable dreams, but not scary ones, ever. And things like "scary" games don't scare me.

However, despite that, I love scary games, and I love this game. Watched iHasCupquake and markiplier play this game and LOVEEDDDD their gameplay and laughed so much.
Playing it myself for the first time is still so weird.

I have to say though, it definitely needs a lot more content. It does feel pretty bare right now. Need more ghost hunting items, more ghost events and interactions that can happen, more just everything. Idk. It just needs some more stuff.

I had a very good time playing this, everyone should play it and be friendly with other players.
Just needs way more content and realistic feelingness.

Also I don't like that the Steam overlay (activated by Tab + shift in game) didn't have Players connected. That button is supposed to show you who you recently or are currently playing with, their steam profiles connected. Would've loved to add the people I played so many rounds with. This one guy and girl from there were so charismatic and happy and special sounding. 🥺 The girl had this kinda weird accent, don't even know what'd it'd be, but it was wholesome in a way, and she was so wholesome and sweet. The boy was playful and kind and foolish lol.

Also,
The daily missions thing needs more rewards than just cash. There should be like special benefits you can earn points towards like new outfits for specific characters, new characters, new van colors and themes and styles, hats for your characters, stickers for your van, your lobby customization like changing the basement to some other room or other place, or what floor you have, walls, etc. earn objects and waiting toys for your lobby, etc.

2023 Edit: Love this game.

Very fun game, lots of replayability, but I can see how it could get old for people quickly. Just don't force yourself to play to get hours or to prove anything to anyone. Enjoy yourself. That being said, when playing Versus, the thing I mainly play the game for at this point, don't play if you don't have lots of experience on campaign, or with the game in all. Once you have that, you STILL need to get familiar with the maps and good attack spots. Make sure to attack WITH your team to do the best damage. Someone charges/pounces someone, you attack someone else to keep the enemies busy. Or spit on that pounce/charger. etc.

This game needs more attention from Valve, however. Has many bugs, such as the jockey hitbox, which I, as of currently, consider the worst bug in the game. Makes jockey very unfun to play as in my opinion. You can jump right into people and it'll act as if you didn't.
Don't let that or any other bugs stop you from playing though.

The versus community is very much a toxic cesspool of people, but my suggestion is just to block anyone's profile who kicked you/was toxic/tried to get a reaction out of you, etc. The game will make sure you're not matched to a game they're in, and they won't be put into any of yours. You can learn to play, and just play, hopefully more peacefully from then on.

One big annoyance however, I've noticed, is once I got good at Dead center, mercy, etc. Whenever our team does good against the enemy, they all end up rage quitting. Some even quit on the first chapter, when they didn't even do that bad of damage, and they hadn't gone as survivor yet, or some other scenario like that.
This community needs to learn to take the game less seriously, and just play.

Yes, if you're not enjoying yourself, leave the game. But who cares if you're winning or losing? Try to win, try to do some damage and work as a team. When my team is simply too bad to work together or refuses to, etc, thats when I leave.
Another issue is people kicking others for ONE bad attack.
I, personally, only call a kick on players when they CLEARLY do not have much experience in the game as a whole. In which they should play campaign more and get used to it.
If someone is "shopping", staying behind in maps and not staying with their team, I usually say something in chat, if they continue, it's a kick.
But you should never just kick someone for bad attacks, unless they refuse to work as a team and attack together, never doing so after you asked. They won't learn when you kick them just for doing that once without saying anything about it, or if you kick them simply cause they didn't do good on a whole team attack.

My final words of this review are just this:
Enjoy the game. Points don't matter, winning doesn't matter. Having fun does. I've heard people on my team on voice chat say before, "oh well we won anyways" (because of the points on the leaderboard), and then I sit there wondering "But who cares? Why does that matter?" It's not like there's some ranking system or something. Get to the sameroom, or attack the survivors together. Simple.

Enjoy the game, block the toxic players/trolls, etc. And play and learn it in your own time. You control how you play, not others, your choice on what to do, but just be friendly and fair in whatever you choose.

This game is truly a "Try to join a game but fail" simulator.
It *needs* a play button. I'm not sure why they still haven't implemented such a thing, but it need a button that just says "Play", and then you connect to a lobby. I, and everyone, are sick and tired of having to click multiple servers, getting the message "full" to finally 3 minutes later get into a match, just for the settings to be set to some way we don't like causing us to leave, or be kicked for no reason, etc.

Add. A. Play. Button. No more server searching. You click play, and it matches you to any avaliable server that it's also matching multiple other people who clicked play to, filling each one by one, oldest servers to newest servers.
Beyond this major issue with the game, Among us is very fun to play. I however do not like lying, and am bad at it, so when I'm imposter I actually feel guilty as I lie, and hate having to do it, but it's still fun to play.

I also wish they would add a certain ambience from Alien, a really amazing series of movies. The whirring sound, as heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9a1EQS_9Wo&t=46s
It's very spacey, and would be a perfect ambience sound for an Among us map, or even a single room. Imagine hearing that as you walk into one, then it stops as you exit.
I can't find a video with just the background whirring sound, but either way that's the sound I mean.

First playing this, so far it seems very low quality. I don't even mean the silly graphics and look of it, even though every single character in the trailers/videos having the same faces regardless of age or gender IS weird ( Furture self here, and I just wanna make it clear, what I meant is i watched the trailer before, or some of it if i rememebr correctly, with the kids that appear to be his kids, in it, and they literally look like his exact face but on a kid, its disturbing, every other character looks the same too), the gameplay itself seems low quality so far. I'm unsure of what to do in "act 1", you can't pick up almost everything even if it seems like you could, the ai of the neighbor walks into walls and does random weird things, etc.

I'm unsure how this game got so popular. It was probably someone's attempt at making a game and it became popular and well known for some reason despite it being the way it is.

Attempting to get a refund now.

(Got refudned)

Once again I'm really not sure why this is popular, at all. It's absolute garbage. In every way...
Like I can't imagine how low iq of a child you'd have to be to like this game or even buy it and legitimately play it.

Amazing. Absolutely f***ing amazing. I'm playing this and enjoying it so much, stopping here and there to savor each moment. From Soldiers having realistic lines that actually make you feel bad for them, or scared for yourself, to having four guards follow me and fight with me at some point in the beginning, etc. This game is just amazing to play. The gameplay really feels natural and good.

Only thing, as of right now, that I'd like to comment against, is the fact that enemies can find you/hear you even when you're crouching and hidden behind something. Like some stages I'll run away from them, and hide behind soemthing, crouching, and they'll walk around that object and look me right in the face before shooting/attacking me. Like wtf? They should need to look around for you, or think you ran away, if they can't find you. Not have some tracking capabilities. Idk if they hear you less or not when crouching, but they should hear you less. Because that's how it is in Half-Life. You can crouch right up to an enemy's back before they hear you.

Beyond this, amazing gameplay. Please play.

I do recommend maybe a rating of 17 and up though.. There are graphic scenes. Like when the giant blue alien creature kills some military men and it actually has some bonechilling screams. Makes you wonder how painful that thing's inflicted death could be.

Edit: Had to pause the game after the Xen teleport to say how beautiful and amazing it was. It really was like going to an alternate dimension. I love when all the color went into one circle, and our vision went black. Then we went through a wormhole. That was really well done.
Also I love how it feels like we're just hopping around a beautiful purple galaxy, with islands scattered.
For all we know this could be a gas planet, and there's small chunks of land inside, maybe. Purple star clouds all around us, but that's just gases. idk.
Who knows how this dimension and space in all could work.

Love the scenes with the slave vortigaunts. If you're a true Half-Life lover like me, you'd play these scenes without killing any vortigaunts, just as I have. I feel that the original Half-Life game did not make it obvious enough what was going on. I never really knew even when playing Half Life 2, just suddenly knew they were on our side.
