Very fun game - like if TrackMania "engine-off" maps were a whole game.

Needs a few QoL features - the ability to race your own ghost and to restart from a checkpoint would help me learn the maps faster.

Fun little VR puzzle game. Great even for those who aren't familiar with Psychonauts.

I would be happy to call this game "not for me", however the UI and control setup is super clunky.

I was using a Logitech G920 wheel+pedal setup. The game recognized this controller, but it mapped the clutch and acceleration incorrectly. It also didn't map many of the buttons on the face of the wheel. There's also no way to navigate the menus using the controller (at least not that I could find)

If you plan to play this with a G920, expect some time fiddling about on the settings page to get something usable. Also make sure to keep your keyboard and mouse nearby as you'll need it constantly.

I played this game in November 2019 and refunded it. I couldn't even get through the first tutorial mission without encountering multiple game-disrupting bugs.

Now in February 2020, the game is in a much better state. Thanks to Frontier for cleaning up the game post-release! I'm now able to relive the magic of the Zoo Tycoon franchise, now brought up-to-date with modern game design.

(However, as others have noted, I'm not able to get above 40 fps sometimes regardless of my graphics settings, which makes me think there may be further room to optimize the game)

This game feels like it's still in alpha:

• Tons of bugs, in bot construction, the physics engine, and even navigating the menus / starting matches.
  
• The core gameplay is there (building + fighting bots) but there's not much of a game around it.
  
• Even the core experience feels lacking, with questionable AI and an occasionally-misbehaving camera.

I wish the developers released the game in Early Access if they plan on fleshing this out into a more complete experience. In its current state, the game is not worth your time or money. You're better off playing Robot Arena II
