Mucho Racism

Blasphemous is not only a love letter to the 2D platformers of our childhood, but also to the endless hours spent raging on soulsborne games that we eventually grew up to play. this game is an absolutely marvelous symbiosis of 2 genres that both defined their eras of gaming respectively.

the game not only is visually outstanding but the story and score themselves could be entirely separate works of art, this game has so much to find and explore, and you can explore the whole map from the beginning, all without ever losing a linear flow. it can also be extremely challenging, ive found my self stuck at certain sequences for hours on end but still just as excited to see what happens when i finally do get past them,

Beyond all this it carries massive replay ability. as soon as you finish start New Game +, fight the bosses in different orders, get a different ending, find all the achievements, play the DLC that is unlocked in NG+.
aswell as me being a practicing catholic its amazing to see so many winks and nods to our church and its traditions and history.

this game is an utter masterpiece and i would easily recommend it to almost anybody

Very Solid Port, when i first launched the game i was running a solid 1 frame per 5 seconds, i turned all the graphics as low as possible and restarted my PC, re-launched, and got a very nice 55 - 65 average FPS with my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ $700 BestBuy gaming Laptop, despite running on lowest possible graphics the game was still beutiful and easily passes as a AAA Game, i would have believed anyone if they said the graphics where still set to high, personally i believe the main game could be slightly longer but thats about my only complaint, basically zero bugs whatsoever which is somewhat surprising from a barely month old port, especially coming from playstation,

TL:dr
amazing graphics, even on lowest could easily pass as Triple A, story is very very good narratively but a little on the shorter side if you ignore sidequests, puzzles are just hard enough to keep me thinking for a good few minutes but not herd enough that i ever had to look up the answer, and i myself encountered basically zero bugs in 50 hours of gameplay
