A hugely disappointing mess of a release and its not getting better

For those who don't know this game had a launch player base of over 10k and released with three, 64 player servers on PC. Xbox, Playstaion and Nintendo Switch got 10 servers each. About 2 hours later, the game received several more servers however the ping and lag was unbearable. For those who could get into servers it was a cluster flump of people joining and leaving every other second. People would be kicked for "team killing' despite not even selecting a character and not even being able to play after selecting a character as the respawn clock would not end at one. I figured I'd give the game a week to be fixed before I refund it, but at this point. Why keep it? The current player base as of writing this is an astonishingly low 741 players (on steam). Do not get this game, instead get the original battlefront 2 and go play on legacy modded servers hosted by loving fans of the original game. You might actually have a good time.

I do recommend this game as a long time fan of Mortal Kombat and a fighting game enthusiast. That being said, this game is missing a lot, a disturbing amount.

The story of the game is quite fun and is over 4 hours of cut scenes. Like 11, it felt like a movie with parts I get to play. The timeline reset story is fine and I enjoy most of the characters and how they are portrayed. I do miss the conflicts and changes of sides during the previous on going story line. Starting at the beginning again means some characters will be missing from the roster. No Noob Sibot, No robo smoke or Sub-Zero and several more. But the beauty of starting over allows for new ways to introduces those characters. speaking of introducing characters there are ZERO new characters as of currently. The only hope we have is for DLC to bring in new characters but I would assume they would use that for third party characters like Omni-man and bringing in characters that didn't make it in on release like Ermac and Quan Chi whom by the way are fully put together, working characters that are in the story mode but are not playable. Also on the character front, say good-bye to some of your favs because they have been pushed aside as 'Kameo' characters, who you pick along side your playable character who can be used for small boosts, hits and combos but have no use as characters otherwise. The list includes Jax, Sonya, Kano, Sektor, Cyrax, Motaro and frickin' GORO, and more. What makes little sense is that some of the Kameo characters are also playable, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Kung Lao all have both Kameo and Playable character fighters. I'm so bummed that I cant play some of my favorites now that they have been demoted to kameo characters. Mortal Kombat 11 had 25 playable characters on launch while Mortal Kombat 1 has 23 playable characters and 16 wasted Kameo characters. I can only hope they will add some of them as both Kameo and playable. Also characters I hope for are maybe coming based on rumors like Cassie Cage and Noob Sibot but no confirmation. You can also say good-bye to the possibility of the Kollecter being playable, as he is the shop merchant in the story game mode invasions. At the very end of the story *SPOILERS* Liu Kang brings in other elder god, time lords from other timelines to fight off the army of Shang Tsung's time lords and undead foes. during this segment and ensuing fights there are all kinds of characters that we will never get to play who have full move sets, Like a female version of Kano or a merge between Sub-Zero and Scorpion a Sonya who uses Kitana's blades and MANY MANY MORE! Its like they're teasing us with custom characters and playable fighters who we will never get to play. That is unless they add any of this in the future. We can hold out hope I guess.

I know I've talked a lot of negative but there is also a lot to love about this game. Its plays well, combos are fun to pull off, hearing people rage into their microphones when I win. Just some of the few things you can love about this game. Again the story is super entertaining and friendly to old and new Mortal Kombat players alike. And with the story ending in a large cliff hanger (where Jax is missing his arms, very cool) who knows if we'll see more in a DLC or free update. I have high hopes for the future of MK1. Started rocky but a possible uphill climb to perfection.

Very fun little Peggle/Pinball spin-off game. Its a Rouge-like, RPG, Indie title with a lot of care and love put into it. Adorable sprites, Fun gameplay. What else could you want. Every run you play is always different, with new monsters, rooms and weapon combos. I think its worth your money however, if you have some reservations wait for a sale. It has a of love in it and lots to love about it, so grab it ASAP.

TL;DR: Cat

Without a doubt, one of the most creative and fun experiences I've had playing a game in a while. I love this game with every fiber I have. With such a charming cast of characters, how could you not? This game is short, only about 6 hours. However, I believe that based on its gameplay, it would have suffered as a game with a longer length. The writing and story telling is the best part. I was walking up to everyone I could to hear more about the world, I wanted every last bit of dialogue. The puzzles are fun and intriguing, never too hard or too often, giving you time in between to relax and enjoy the games soft music and lovingly made environments. This game hides things to see and do in every nook and cranny. Somehow, the silent protagonist has more character and personality than 90% of other games main characters these days. I may be a bit bias cause I love cats and made me feel closer to my own cat, but I can say without a doubt. You will enjoy this game!

Absolutely worth your money! Total mixture between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 7. The continued story of Ethan Winters is exactly what I wanted in this game. Do you like scares? Good, cause there its a lot more scary moments and locations than 4 or 7. Just buy the game, what are you waiting for?

Far Cry® 5

Far Cry 5.... is bad. Now don't get me wrong, Far Cry 5 is a fun game filled to the brim with stuff to do from playing with your "Fangs for hire" buddies like Boomer the loyal dog and Peaches the pesky Mountain Lion or playing alongside your best friends and family in the expansive land of Hope County, Montana. Lots of weapons and vehicles to customize to your hearts content and tons of missions to help take down the deadly cult, Eden's Gate.

The story of Far Cry 5 is weak and not player holding like the older Far Cry games. Nobody cares about the protagonist, The Deputy, also referred to as "Rook" and "Rookie." His/Her story means nothing to us cause the character lacks voice and motive. Sure, the Deputy want to save his friends and stop the cult but unlike the other Far Cry games I found myself not caring about his struggle and adventure. Each Far Cry game since the second installment has had a very vocal character that tell his story though his feelings and motives. I cared about Jason Brody and his quest to save his friends. I cared about Ajay Ghale's choices about his parents and what they wanted for him in Kyrat. The Deputy is a lazy, emotionless character with no character arc. At the end of Far Cry® 3 Jason is given a choice to Give up his old life and join the Rakyat army or return home with his friends and family. This choice is often hard for a play based on this story that the player is told with the protagonist. Similarly Far Cry® 4 has choices that dictated the end of the game based on how the player goes though the game. Far Cry® 5 has zero tension on choice. *Spoliers* -Both endings of the game ♥♥♥♥ and end with a bitter taste in your mouth as if everything you did was for nothing.- *Spoliers Over*

If you're new to the entire Far Cry franchise as a whole, do not start with this game. I highly recommend that you play all Far Cry 2, 3 and 4 before playing this. Maybe Far Cry® 2 has not aged as well as the third or forth installments to the franchise but it is still fun. As I said at the top of the review, don't get me wrong about this game. Far Cry® 5 is a very fun and enjoyable game. I give all props to Ubisoft for leaning away from their open world formula with towers to climb and upgrades to craft with wildlife furs and skins. Far Cry® 5 goes in a good direction. If you're a Far Cry vet don't let this scared you away. Far Cry® 5 is still a great time, If you're lucky enough not to run into one of the thousands of glitches still in the game or able to over look the god awful story and characters.

Traditionally, a game would only have a single rating at the end of a review however I will be giving two. One for gameplay as a openworld shooter game and the other for a Triple-A Ubisoft game. Consider these as you will, my recommendation will be based on the gameplay as I had an enjoyable experience while the game wasn't glitching.

Far Cry® Primal

Ubisoft, you really pulled it out of your hat this time. This single player only experience has some of the best hard mode game play in a long time! not to mention incredibly good looking graphics. I didn't expect much to come from this game as a Far Cry game but they really did well with this game.
