I never played any of the previous Witcher games before purchasing and playing The Witcher 3. I never read any of the books and I was completely unfamiliar with the world. Keeping that in mind, this is easily in my top 5 games of all time. The world feels so genuinely alive, and your choices matter. The game's story REALLY makes you care about the people you encounter, and you'll find yourself genuinely engaged with the story. If you like RPG's and you like dialogue, this is the game for you. Love this game! The only drawback I'd say is the combat system, as it's a little clunky, but honestly if you're getting this game for the combat, you're probably looking for a different game. HIGHLY recommend this for the story and world. If you like folklore, monsters, and hot people, 10/10 would recommend.

Seriously, if you haven’t played these already, you’re missing out. Great puzzle solving game with memorable characters! If this is a game that you say “I’ve always meant to play these, but I never have”, stop being a dingus and play them!

And sure, a sexy German lady hits you with her whip, but I swear it’s good because of the puzzle solving crap I said earlier.
