Really dumb physics, boring and bland single player missions, dead multiplayer, extremely hard to use mission editor. Genuinely just not fun

Will always be superior to the sequel

As a space nerd, I thought i would take a calculated risk with my money and try this out.
But man, am I bad at math
Sure, it's cool. but after the first hour you kind of just run out of things to do. You blow up the sun, smash planets into each other, maybe check out some community made simulations
And then the fun wears off. This game is def not worth the money they're asking for and I will probably refund

This game is the only game I have preordered in my life, and I'm glad I did, because it is amazing. Ghostrunner 2 improves on just about every issue that the first game suffered from. The combat flows extremely well and the new ultimate abilities are amazing. New sword inspect animations are incredible, and the boss system is much better.

In the previous game, boss fights were just about dodging or parrying the attacks and then slashing them when they're vulnerable. GR2 doesn't do that, and instead opts for a proper damage system, constantly striking your opponent while dodging their attacks. The levels flow very well, and the perfect parry takedowns are a little janky but still pretty cool. There's also a sort of home base that you can explore and interact with in between missions, talking to characters in the game, upgrading your skills, ect.

There's a bunch of new skills to experiment with and have fun with. The game looks graphically amazing as well. The cutscenes feel much better compared to GR1, although the facial expressions of some characters in game feel kind of lifeless and they just stare into your soul while talking to you, but other than that they're great.

And there's also the bike levels and the levels are kind of more open rather than directed. I won't spoil anything but I will say that the bike is a blast to use and is probably the most fun I've had in a game for a long time.

Yes, the game is difficult, just like the first one. There is no denying that. One hit and you restart at the last checkpoint. (there's alot of those thankfully) But if you can get the flow and movement down and learn to use your abilities in unison, Ghostrunner 2 is so much fun, and considering that most AAA games are $80+ these days, this game is definitely worth the price

Thought I'd give it a chance thinking it would be good, but I was incredibly disappointed. As a long time BF4 player, this is horrible. How do you mess up Battlefield this bad? I have a high end system and I'm barely getting 40fps on medium settings, constant stuttering and rubber banding, not to mention the gunplay is absolutely horrendous. Just don't

Ignore the haters screaming that this game is bad. This game is one of the most beautiful things you could ever experience. Ship to ship combat, space trucking, exploring a 1:1 recreation of the milky way, fighting gigantic aliens, discovering new biology on planets. And the graphics are amazing. I don't understand why people are still mad about ship interiors or lack of new ships. Elite has so much to do and in my eyes, it will only get better in the future
Def get Odyssey on sale. The normal price isn't worth it, but on sale it's worth gettinmg

TL:DR, Bad reviews because it's difficult but there is a way to get the content without fighting the bosses, I still enjoy it personally

The reason this has so many bad reviews is because the 3 bosses are quite challenging, getting a move for every action you take in your turn. The rulers can't move on the alien's turn, so that's good in a way. I've played this game for a long time, had 200 hours on Ps4, and I'm on a legend playthrough (hardest difficulty) at the moment, so I don't have too much trouble with them. But they are still hard for the unprepared player. You can still get the gear of this DLC without fighting the rulers. Enable the DLC when you start a new game, and there will be a scan on the map that will appear early game. That will give you the gear. But then later on an alien den mission will appear. If you don't want to fight the rulers, do not do this mission. This way the only thing you're missing out on is the special armour made from the bodies of the rulers, and to be honest, the abilities on them aren't fantastic
