DO NOT BUY. If you're running WIndows 8.1 it will crash your computer, freeze and force a restart. Compatibility modes don't work, and you'll get an error "Unable to find Steam" if you try.

The game in its current state needs to be taken off of Steam until fixed, since it's largely unplayable.

Great game. My personal preference would be less team management and less fight-rebuild-fight-rebuild throwaway ship management. Oh well. To each their own. Just not for me. I guess I was looking for something more along the lines of Escape Velocity: Nova.

Good game. Horrible mouse control issues. Great music. But I can't deal with the controls.

Rebind the move key to avoid unnecessary deaths on HCE.

Second greatest game of all time after WH40K: Chaos Gate.

Love this game. Great soundtrack. Great mechanics and immersion.

Hate that there are many counter-intuitive and counter-immersive strategies that are much more successful than "roleplaying" that you're a commander desperately trying to outrun a rebel fleet. Some ship mechanics are also pretty contrived. These are nitpicks, but also the reason why I get tired of the game after beating it once. There are also strategies like deliberately prolonging fights that I find distasteful. Oh well. To each their own.

Most people won't care about these things that I care about, so you should DEFINITELY buy this game. It's very good.
