Where to start with Verdun...

Verdun is an FPS with a lot of potentail in the future, the developers saw an opening in the market for this genre of FPS and have really shown what they are capable of. As of 15/08/16 this game has improved soo much over recent years and for me, is a viable game to spend hours upon playing. Verdun is relatively bug free (some here and there after patches) and very well optimised for all of its users, causing this game to excell in it's market field. However Verdun has not always been this way, me personally i have owned this game from it's initial Alpha launch and don't get me wrong it was still beautiful in it's initial launch. Giving all of it's places that as realistic as possible feeling of WW1, whilst also keeping it fun and relatively interesting. Over time this game has had it's ups and downs especially with major patches in the past, causing fps issues and huge server bugs. But to my suprise the development team have stayed strong through and through with it's development and achieving it's goal as, one of the best WW1 Shooters. This is because the develoopment team have listened to their players, taken their advise and morphed it into their own ideas aswell. After meeting these guys at Eurogamer you can tell they have put their hearts and souls into this game, all for it to have paid off :)

-HONEST REVIEW-
The game has a lot of potential and could become something amazing in the distant (VERY DISTANT) future. I started playing the game when it was first released on steam and actually enjoyed just running around meeting other fresh spawns, but this became boring quickly as i found out. At every new patch i hop on to see what has changed and to see if that the game has made new progressive. In it's early stages it was slow and had poor content only containing new items and letting more bugs pile up, however it has started to pick up pace recently and become less and less buggy. The game still runs like crap and does look awful at time, but the gaming experience is slowly becoming more enjoyable. The devs have gone through stages of having tons of high grade loot spawning everywhere (recently) to literally no loot at all which is a shame, but hey it's still aplha to be honest. I wish that if the devs didn't just rush out the game in it's very early life stages (trees looked like thin little sticks haha) to rob our money then people might of gave it less hate, but that is the devs fault and now they are paying the price for it with less and less people buying it. The streamers make it seem so cool and EPIC! but without other mates you'll realize how lonely and un-exciting it really is sorry. On the bright side hackers are about as rare as finding a heli crash site with it's full millitary loot intact hahaha. If i was you i would wait until it's beta if you don't like 1/8 finished games, or wait until it's full release as right now the devs are only robbing us effectively. Hoped this has helped you out :) P.S. If a dev happens to stumble across this, please for the love of god actually make the zombies a threat! The game is fun for the first couple of hours then just becomes too boring!!!
