I had to:
1. Enable Secure Boot in BIOS
2. Complete a re-install process for their anti-cheat since it seems that it was not done correctly by default.
3. Manually add a firewall exception on game launch (block got triggered by AntiCheat?)
4. Restart both Steam and Origin, running them both as Administrator

Jesus christ, what a mess of a launch. Over a week in and it still isn't fixed because it broke again for me after 17 hours of gameplay and I needed to repeat steps 2-4.
