Everything good about this game (music, voice acting, writing, combat) is held back by its roguelike nature. After a certain point, progress through the story plateaus and runs are based off of the luck of which boons and enemy encounters you get, but your build will never get to a point of being overpowered like other roguelikes. Each run felt similar in strength no matter what build I had, and none of them felt like they had a specific gimmick to specifically strengthen. Because of that, each run gets more and more stale.
