FMV stands for Full-Motion Video. When a video game features live-action or animated video, that video is called FMV and the game is categorized as an FMV Game.
For example, Her Story, Simulacra, and Death Come True.

Good investigation FMV game that I'd call a "whodunnit" game. You play as Abby, trying to figure out which family member poisoned Uncle Marcus. Dig into their family secrets, find the proof, the poison, and the killer. There's some humor added in to keep things a bit hilarious.

When you're skipping through scene by pressing Tab after your first playthrough, it automatically picks the first option. This is a pretty bad control and should stop when it comes to options, so press Tab slowly to avoid this mess.

I don't know if anyone's lucky enough to get the best ending on their first playthrough but it seems the game is designed to play it multiple times until you have enough evidence and then can accuse one of 'em in the end. You'll probably have to play it few times to get 100% evidence. I randomly got a funeral ending on my 5th playthrough, and that's when I realized this whole thing was shot in lockdown and filmed simultaneously in London and Los Angeles.

After a few playthrough, I found out who's the killer, what's the proof, and what's the poison. However, there were still two family members I wasn't able to get 100% evidence. There's still one question bugging me, but after completing all the achievements, I just assumed it was random person.

So, who muted Uncle Marcus?

A good short game that only takes 2 hours but I get annoyed by crashes, bugs, and at least give an interact icon or make it more stand out. Honestly, the concept is good but it's just the gameplay that annoys me.

Horror? Indeed. Jumpscares? Yes. Playtime? Depends. For me, the enemies aren't too scary but can be pretty annoying. They move slow, so whenever I'm in tight spaces or hiding from them, I just wait for them to pass. They are blind but can hear. Your breath, cough, footsteps, bumping into objects—they'll hear everything that makes noises (though this might depend on what difficulty). There are three types of enemies, including a big guy whose footsteps make my ears shake.

I seriously enjoy this horror walking sim game a lot. Plenty of jumpscares that scared the hell outta me, I love it 'cause I miss getting a real jumpscare. The story is interesting, the world got the vibe, and the sound are incredible (I highly recommend playing with headphones at full volume to hear their steps). But the gameplay needs to be stealthy if you don't wanna get caught, so sometimes I rush and hell with it. Also, once you're in a safe place, the enemies won't come inside.

I think one reason they made Sker Ritual is 'cause the Challenge mode in Maid of Sker. It's super satisfying to slice their heads off with an axe. I don't recommend this game if you're scared or don't wear headphones.

Intimidation. Frustation. Satisfaction.
This might be my first and last playing soulslike... or not?

Long story short, my first soulslike was The Surge at lowest price. Unfortunately, I ended up refunding it because I just wanted to know what soulslike game felt like. A few months later, a friend DM'd me to redeem the key, and it was Steelrising. I don't know what to say but to finish this sheet once and for all. Sonuva beach gave me a side quest death count.
Dear god, I was in despair after almost 5 hours of playing. But then I remembered watching a streamer fight Malenia with a RL1, I even watch (not entirely) Kai's 100+ hour Elden Ring. They kept losing and trying again and again, and I realized I need to play with patience. So yeah, it works for me (in this game).

My first play took about 12 hours, including several side quests, reading a bit of lore, and unlocking the 1st ending. 2nd play was NG+ took 11 hours, it was for unlocking some achievements, learning more about the lore, collecting all echoes, and somehow got 3rd ending. I wasn't sure how I did it, but it showed that your choices do matter. There are three endings in total.

I agree that Steelrising is not too difficult (after my first 5 hours, of course), but it does have some very challenging moments. The game features Immobilisation, which the enemies get stunned when the diamond is filled, allowing you to hit a critical attack. You can use throwable bombs like flame to ignite, frost to freeze, and explosive goes explode. I chose the Dancer class and my favorite weapons are Armoured Fans and Requiem Mallet.

There are Unstable bosses and main bosses. The Unstable bosses weren't very hard for me, though I died 2-4 times. However, the two main bosses, The Selenite and The Bishop gave me motion sickness. The rest were a mix, some 1st try, others took 2-5 runs. If the game is too hard, you can always turn on assist mode, but I decided not to use it to see how far I could go on my own.

Overall, I enjoyed the story, the combat, the character design, and the world. The only issue was the performance. But if the game were more polished, it would be amazing.
I learnt that playing soulslike games requires a lot of time and patience. You might win on your first try with some bosses, but you'll also died a couple of times. This game and maybe other soulslike games gives me 3 feels: intimidation, frustration, and satisfaction. It's worth the struggle. I thank my friend for the key and ♥♥♥♥ you bro.https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3271853593

Similar to Love Choice and Florence.. but it's pretty much Love Choice vibes all over again. Takes you less than 30 minutes to dive into a short novel of love and relationship. Can't think of much else to add, at least it's got some sweet words in there. Might be a sweet little treat for your anniversary, Valentine's Day, or even White Day.

I-Am-Not-The-Electrician!
That voice convinced me to buy the game. The voice acting in this game is wonderful, making this one of my favorites. Each character has their own vibe. They putting a lot of effort. Combined with sound effects and the music, it all comes together beautifully. It really feels like a pirate's tale.

I'm amazed that all of this was developed by one person, except the voice acting. The short-tale follows Cleo, a cynical girl who discovers a strange pirate-logbook and sees a ghost, who gives her a mysterious hint. From that moment, her monotonous life is turned upside down. The puzzles weren't too difficult, there's a good board game called "Kraken Fodder" that Cleo plays against few NPCs throughout the story.

Cleo – a pirate's tale is an outstanding game, and the ending was wholesome. It’s one of those games where you want to enjoy each character’s voice and follow the storyline to the end. Thank you so much.
