Zen up until you get a circle on a small lot.

Perfect little bite-sized chunks of sweaty ninja roguelike gameplay.

By the numbers, easily the best $20 you can spend on a VR game. This game could easily have been just an accurate simulation of firearms and ballistics, but the dev (singular!) just keeps adding more and more great stuff. Ya got Target Practice. Ya got Roguelikes. Ya got Zombies. What more could you want? Over 300 guns, new modes, constant bug fixes and patches, H3 in it's current state has much more going for it than most "full" games at the same price point, and it's still only in EA/alpha! If and when this game is finished it's going to be a doozy, but if you don't mind a minor hiccup here and there, this is really the only VR game you need. I promise you, it's what literally everybody you show it to wants to play.

You are a tiny bug knight man on a quest to beat Dark Souls, except all your enemies are also bugs. 10/10

Play it. Or don't. The remaster is better. Mostly I just want a badge.

This may be one of the strangest games I've ever played. One of. You could call it a puzzle platformer, but really you only need to know two things:

1. If you start to feel weird while playing this game, just keep reminding yourself that nobody slipped acid into anything you have, then get to the music bit. It's awesome.

2. If you DID take acid, prepare for an interesting afternoon.

Whether or not you like Aliens vs. Predator really boils down to one simple question. Are you a fan?

Basically everything about this game is adequate. Nothing is bad, but nothing really sets a high bar either. The shooting works. The graphics are nice. The story holds itself together. And of course you get to play through three seperate scenarios for the Marine, Alien, and Predator. And that pretty much sums up the entire experience.

If that sounds enjoyable to you, I'm assuming you have a box set or two laying around, maybe some xenomorph bookends somewhere. If that last word confused you though, you may want to look elsewhere for your shooting needs.

Unfortunately this review will be quite brief, due to an unexpected issue I ran into. Alien Spidy is, in and of itself, a fairly solid physics puzzler. You swing from anchor point to anchor point, collecting little bits of energy, hopefully in a row, in an attempt to boost your score by reaching the end of the level. At 3 worlds and anywhere from 16 to 24 or so levels per, it doesn't seem exceptionally long, but the game is quite difficult, though not unreasonably so. The web swinging could use some work, which is a shame because it's basically the core of the game, but that isn't the issue here.

When returning to the game to make further progress, having already made it to the end of the 2nd world (no small feat, I can assure you), I started the game only to find the Continue option blanked out. My save file was gone, and according to the forums nobody knows where to, not even the developers. With such a game-breaking bug being so common, and with the developers seemingly planning to do nothing about it, this game gets a hard pass.

If it's ever fixed, it's a pretty challenging game that requires a lot of finesse, but when all of that effort can be dashed in an instant, something is wrong.

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to adequately express how I felt about Alice: Madness Returns. The game has received heaps of critical praise for its art direction from various and sundry news outlets time and time again, so I can't really say much on that subject. The story and levels do seem to wind on with no particular purpose near the end, but most people have noticed that and said so. It certainly surpasses it's predecessor in terms of quality, but considering how legitimately awful it is, that's not a huge task. So really, I can only think of two words that will either convince you this game is for you, or turn your attention elsewhere.
