Beat Slayer is an amazing game. Its Berlin backdrop pulses with electronic music, graffiti and interesting choices.
The rhythm-driven gameplay? Addictive. Quality seeps from every pixel and keeps you in a constant flow-state
Berlin awaits, and the beat never stops. 🎵

Verdict: 9/10 – If you are into infused rhythmy-based games and rogue-likes, Beat Slayer is totally for you 🎶

Tip: Make sure to calibrate your audio/ input / video in the menu first - to make sure you really hit the beat.

Excellent game - feels like Sudoko and Battle Isle have a child together. Perfect graphics, much love for detail and a perfect balancing squeezed together into roughyl 260 Megabytes. Impressive!

ps.: Finished it now - I mean I finished the metagame of all achievements which took me 55 horus for 55 achievements (btw it is the first time ever with Into the Breach that I did grind all achievements for a Steam game ) which are also nicely crafted and very well balanced.
Still an overall superb game!

I usually do not like puzzle platformer but this one has the right difficulty level for and also the right kind of tongue in check humor. It also look like the inofficial "Adventure Time" game but hey - i like it!

Early Access Review
I spend over 30 hours on this game for 10 bucks - this is totally fair price so I am not disappointed about the money i spend. Thumbs up here!

But is it an awesome game that I am going to continue to spend time in? No! Thumbs down!
Why is that so?
You clearly feel the heritage of the mobile f2p game it comes from. Even if it is a premium title now a lot of progress within the game is connected to mindless grind. And the balancing is totally off. I guess it´s getting exponentially more expensive to buy things to keep the high spenders happy and give them a reason to buy the 99 $ in app currency packages but for the regular player in a premium game it totally lacks a proper balancing.

Also the interface doesn´t really feel perfectly adjusted to the needs of a mouse and PC.

Anyway buy this game if you are up for grinding and trains but don´t expect to much.

Early Access Review
Totally worth it! Even while it´s still in Early Access it is already fun. Maybe you won´t replay it a hundred times like Diablo3 but the lovely and unique graphic style as well as the enjoyable gameplay makes this one a fair buy. Enjoy it! <3

Time to give back some love. In the beginning I expected a train and rail tycoon game but it´s definitely something else. It´s a nice puzzle and management games featuring trains. Not more not less but it´s done with love and somehow mesmerizing. I enjoy coming back once in a while for a few mins of fun!

Feels like the RPG brain child of FTL dating Windows 95 in a random fantasy setting.

I guess the most remarkable thing about it Kingsway is the interface which really gives you this nostalgia hate-love feeling of Windows 95 or even 3.1: Everything is done via windows - i mean real windows like inventory window, character window, etc. - you got it.
In the beginning i thought its just about managing a group of adventureres but in the end you only move one avatar - which you can choose in the beginning. Afterwards it´s a bit roguelike like FTL where you have to move constantly and slowly on the map from left to right because otherwise the darkness that overcomes the kingdom challenges you constantly with fights - so it´s not constantly upleveling until you overcome every enemy - no - you have to choose your travels wisely to level up but also make progress on the map.

The RPG elements are fun - everything is a bit repetive in the end but still enjoyable enough to get you going for 10 ,- €. There is also some kind of small metagame that allows you to buy advantages the next time you retry to win the game or compete with others on daily maps.

It´s even more fun than my summary here - go and get it if you like what you see on the screenshots. You won´t get disappointed.

Sorry.

Early Access Review
This is an awesome game even while it´s in Early Access. I mean right now the amount of content is still small but i can say that the core game loop is fun already: I love the feeling of flying around catching fish and shooting other planes to build up my little airborne war machine.

I am curious for future updates and more content piling up as well as the story line which isn´t implemented yet. Btw there is some permadeath inside of the game but that makes it actually quite thrilling to fight in the sky.

Go and get it.

Disclaimer: i know the developer and got the key for free but i came for the free key and stayed for a great game otherwise I wouldn´t have taken the time to write a review.

  • Knowing the publisher - check
  • Getting the game for free - check
  • Enjoying every freaking second of it - check

I played a lot of games in my life time. And recently I get sick with all those sequels that just look a bit better than before and need me to play 123 hours to complete it that just feel like grind.
Safety first! is the complete opposite and that makes it so enjoyable. It´s simple to understand but makes you laughing hard while trying to master it.

Damn - let´s keep it simple: It´s a game and it´s fun and i don´t have to excuse myself for enjoying this kind of - aeeh - MYRL humour!

So - keep on playing Safety First! or get it for 2 € while it´s still a steal and "Enjoy the pleasure of reading this tagline" like myself :D
