Early Access Review
An excellent game to have fun, both alone and with friends. Challenging enough for those who want it and can be made easier for those who want a more relaxed experience.

Only negative thing about the game is a bit nitpicky: Some unlocks I feel should be spread out a little more to avoid massive difficulty spikes. Level 15 is when you unlock the drive through as well as french fries. Two different mechanics that you have to learn at the same time. Feel one of these two needs to be separated when they get unlocked to avoid the massive difficulty spike that comes with it. Also feel there is a lack of things to spend money. Would love more character customization and even customizing the building. Probably also would be cool to get certain upgrades for the place like a button to cook food faster, ice cream that doesn't melt as fast, or decorating the building that could earn you extra tips or let customers wait longer for their food. Lot's of things you could do.

I know the "negative" portion was rather long, but that's just a wishlist of things I'd love to see. Overall, the game is fantastic with no serious qualms at the moment. Can't wait to see what is added next.

First starting this game actually seems real nice. Tutorial might be pretty complicated and a lot to take in but at least the first few orders you do are simple enough and it seems you'd understand before more difficult stuff hits you. Though this is a negative review for a reason. Once you get past the first couple levels, the difficulty spikes dramatically. I'm all for one with the game not holding your hand the whole way, but some steps of the process needed much more explaining to understand. There are a couple different chocolates that are made much differently than normal that the tutorial does little to no explanation on how they are made. So once you reach rank 2 or 3, you'll be wasting a ton of ingredients just trying to figure out how to make a certain kind of chocolate until you search it up online.

The atmosphere and music are all pretty good, but that's mainly where the positives end. The game play is a tedious, wait for chocolate to cook, then wait for it to cool, then wait for it to cook again. Also, why is a time limit put on the players so early into the game? Like the first order outside of the tutorial gives a strict time limit putting a lot of stress on a brand new player that is still learning the ropes.

One other thing that is mentioned a lot, why is the thumbnail/art cover of the game AI? I find that a red flag that they gave no care on the cover of the game original thought. Makes me think the devs had a half-baked idea and sold it to us on a promise of a finished game that still has plenty of flaws.

I'm usually a fan of these simulator games that throw you into a rather repetitive loop of a process, but this one has flaws from the beginning and that alone had me sold on the idea it had no reason for me to continue afterwards.

Totally forgot to write a review closer to its launch but I guess it is also a good time to make a review now.
This game was (and seemingly still is) a blatant cash grab meant to capitalize on the big name of Payday. In almost every way this is inferior to Payday 2. Preplanning is totally absent and less random aspects in general, so every game feels the same. Melee is also been gutted out. The characters still barely talk with each other unlike how they did in the first payday game. Skill builds are watered down to the point it isn't interesting to experiment with different things. The DLC gives not only less stuff, but lower quality. Character and weapon customization is laughable to how poor it is compared to payday 2.

Also, all the updates have been trying to help improve the game and even succeed slightly in some areas. But they are bragging about bringing in all these different features that are just standard features almost every game should have at day 1. Like voice chat and a server browser. Overall, all the new updates and DLC does not interest me enough to make me consider trying it again.

I guess a couple positives are it has a good soundtrack and the actual shooting isn't half bad. But everything else around it is rough.

Overall, I already had trouble trusting Starbreeze and this just solidified to never trust them again no matter what they release. I do not recommend this game even at a discount. Go play the first payday games instead.

Campaign was pretty solid with a decent ending. Awesome characters, and gameplay that will increase your testosterone by just playing it. Very gritty and satisfying to kill all your enemies. Controls may take a while to get used to for a new player since it requires bouncing back and forth between melee and ranged weapons.

Operations are fun for a few play-throughs, but can get a repetitive real quick. Also, underwhelming boss fights and lack of weapon variety. A lot of weapons feel very similar. Using quick play has a flip of a coin chance of actually working. Sometimes just never finds a game or when you do sometimes it fails to connect and kicks you back to the hub.

Never touched PvP and have no plan to so not gonna judge it.

Overall solid game but the online portion needs improvements for game searching, more weapons that feel unique from others, and more better maps as well as enemies. Hopefully better boss fights.

This last part is a little pointless rant so feel free to skip this part.
When this game released, you could pay extra for the gold edition to get the game "early". No, you are paying extra to get the game on time. This was especially egregious for its launch. You paid for the more expensive edition to play it on a weekend, whereas those with the standard edition got it on a weekday. So those who were busy with work and such, either had to wait till the next weekend to play or had limited time to play until the weekend. Stop selling editions for "early access" as an excuse to squeeze more money from your players and just release the game for everyone at the same time. If you want players to pay for the more expensive editions, give them a reason to in game with more and better cosmetics or whatever.

There was only one Playstation game I ever showed any interest in. And that was Ghost of Tsushima. For years I wanted this to come to PC so you can believe how excited I was to see it finally announced earlier this year. Let's just say I was not disappointed. It kept me engaged the whole way through and truly reminded us how a single player open world game should be. For a while now we have been getting more used to Ubisoft and Bethesda pushing these open world games stuffed to the brim with DLC and microtransactions. This game is what it is on the surface. A non-predatory, fun, and enjoyable experience.

With that being said though, I am not a fan of Sony and their business practices. Do NOT make a PSN account to play this game online. I never touched the online portion of the game so I cannot judge it, but purely based off the fact of having to make an account for it should be enough for most to avoid it. The single player portion gives plenty enough of content to keep you happy for a long time.

Pros:
-Crazy good story. Had me in absolute tears by the end.
-Performance is surprisingly really smooth here. I don't have the beefiest rig but I was still able to play this game at medium settings with around 60 FPS with no major dips and never crashed.
-The combat strikes a perfect balance between easy enough for a new person to pick up, but complex enough to keep experienced players engaged on higher difficulties.
-The Japanese voices are phenomenal, no complaints on any of the voice acting.
-A good handful of interesting characters to interact with. Protagonist, Jin Sakai, by far the most interesting in my opinion.
-Very beautiful world to run around and immerse yourself in. Not many games make me stop and just watch the scenery and use photo mode.
-While the platforming is on the more simple side, the grappling hook does make it more interesting and even had me clenching my cheeks in some parts.
-Tons of armor and weapon cosmetics that, guess what, you don't have to pay extra for in a store. Instead are earned in game for free! As it always should be.

Cons:
-This game falls into the typical open world problems. Tons of walking around from point A to point B. Fast Travel and having a on demand horse does help but still tons of just riding around that is tedious.
-Tons of little collectibles that take a lot of time to complete. At the very least they do reward you with either stat increases or a new cosmetic.
-If you aren't into more story driven/cutscence heavy games, you might find yourself skipping a ton.
-Screw Sony and PSN.

I give this game an 8/10. If you really like old samurai movies or just like Japanese culture in general, I think you will like this.

This game is the literal embodiment of "Don't worry it picks up later." The first roughly half of the game is pretty darn stale and plenty of missions near the end also can be filler. Regardless, I still had a ton of fun blasting aliens and giant bugs. If you are a fan of EDF games you'll also like this one. Just wish the missions weren't always so repetitive, including the re-using of EDF 5 missions and tons of voice lines that get annoying after a while. I'll still give it a positive review though since lots of the new enemies are interesting and fun to fight.

Boiled down, the pros of the game are:
-Cool new enemies
-Cool new toys to play with
-Some missions have interesting twists on them if you played EDF 5.
-Really good soundtrack
-The story is pretty interesting in some parts

Mixed parts:
-While many of the QoL improvements among the classes are nice, still really hoping this game would have much more considering it is the sixth iteration of the main games.
-The use of time travel or multi-verse in a story I find is often a lazy way to expand the lore with minimal effort and overall can be hard to follow. Luckily they actually do it in a somewhat interesting way. Still some plot holes but overall good enough for what it is.

Cons:
-Lot's of re-used missions from EDF 5 and voice lines that get annoying. Often very repetitive.
-Story goes all over the place and hard to follow at times
-Honestly a bit too pricey for most at 60 USD. Perhaps wait for a discount.
-Screw the Epic games log-in.

I have poured so many hours into this game and have reached level 100 Hell Commander. Intending to reach all the way to 150 one day. Even though Sony attempted to sour this amazing game, the community fought back against their decision and we can finally return to fighting on the front against bugs and robots. Highly recommend this game to anyone even mildly interested. I got my moneys worth and much more. Thank you to Arrowhead for creating this game and continuing to prove to the community what a good example of a game should be.

To keep things relatively brief, this game is fun for the first several games. It is tense as victims and can give you that power high as the family. However, that is about where the big positives end. The game is buggy, dry on content, and balance issues out the wazoo. The asking price is far too high for content that is too little. Yes, they may end up fixing a lot of issues, balancing characters and perks, and add a lot of new content. I am judging how it is right now and right now the charm of a new asymmetrical horror PvP game has faded and all the ugly is showing clear as day.

Also with this new update to "fix" the game they disabled cross-play in a poor attempt to remedy cheating for console players while they come up with a way to get rid of cheaters. They added custom key binds. (Wow! A basically more than standard feature of any PC release for only like the past 10+ years!) As well as fixed a handful of bugs, but per standard of modern gaming ended up breaking almost as much as it fixed.

Now with the community, the player base is already showing a fair amount of toxicity and making the game not fun in general. I know how players act is largely out of control of developers, but really sucks this games community is already ruining the experience for many so soon after launch.

Need I also mention them locking family execution animations behind a pay wall? Seriously? What happened to earning things in game? This is already a serious red flag for them to abuse this to try and get more money from people for future content.

On an ending note, I really wanted this game to be the next big popular asymmetrical PvP horror game, dethroning DBD after all this time. Sadly, it seems this game's spark is fading fast and going to fall into the pile of mediocre games that attempted to do so. Do not buy this game at full price, even then when on discount be very cautious about it.

I'll try to keep it short but there is a lot to be said about this game. Short version: the game is fun and I recommend purchasing a copy, especially if it is on sale.

The Starting
Starting the longer version off, the game has a nice start by introducing you to the main character and the starting area. One thing I noticed right off the bat is this game doesn't hold your hand as much as many games do nowadays. It may give you options to do an objective, but if you fail to do it presented at first it may make you complete it a different way or even fail the objective entirely. It also leaves many things up to you to find or figure out for yourself. Though me being a dumb dumb, I got stuck on a few parts not knowing what to do or couldn't find the path or thing to complete an objective.

The Combat System
The combat in this game is also really nice and immersive. It feels very awkward and intimidating at first, but overtime you get used to it and work with it better and better. You aren't a god amongst men and can slash through enemies like doom guy does through demons. It makes you feel vulnerable especially early game when your gear is gonna be rather poor. However, it is only really optimized for one on one combat, which is a real shame since majority of fights in the game throw two or more enemies at you at once. Making anymore than a single enemy frustrating to deal with an challenging. Also once you get to late, maybe even mid-game, balance can be a real bad thing as you do become OP and almost unkillable. The master strike in particular grants you too much power once you get the hang of it. It reminds me of early For Honor times where it was just staring matches until someone made the first move, but since it is AI you are against, they will always throw an attack eventually which you can then master strike them, basically giving you guaranteed damage and a win in that fight. Oh yeah and bow and arrow exist. Again pretty hard to get the hang of it especially since the indicator goes away the second you pull the bow out. But with enough practice you can start pulling shots off consistently enough. Though just don't bother aiming on the horse. You will not hit anything on horseback.

Immersion
For a good portion of the game, I felt very immersed. That is one thing this game did exceedingly well, is how immersed it can get you into the role of say, a chivalrous knight, or a skilled thief stealing stuff, or a master archer. You feel like you really are playing as the role of what you are doing while you are doing it. Though there were a few things in the game that may break that immersion, it can be regained soon enough.

Graphics
This game looks very pretty no matter really what settings you have it on. Most of the textures look crisp, shadows are great looking, and character models look pretty good most of the time. Though there is one big flaw in it all, and that is pop in. Throughout the entire game I suffered through really bad pop in and it often took a while to load in.

Optimization
Fortunately, this game doesn't demand an absolute beast of a PC to have a stable performance. I played on medium the entire game and didn't tank frames much at all. Though I did suffer through a number of crashes. I didn't get my first crash until about half way through the game. Also through a handful of cutscenes there was some bad stuttering that really broke immersion. Though the frame rates will likely remain stable through most of it, the game can crash at almost any moment it feels like and really should be fixed. Save whenever you get a chance.

Story
While I won't have any real big spoilers here, do feel free to skip this section if you wouldn't want any small thing spoiled. The story honestly was well designed and kept me engaged to it through most of it. Some filler every here and there but nothing too bad. The story seemed to be going well until.... right at the very end. The ending was so disappointing and just left a sour taste in my mouth. I know they wanted to try and make the story fit into a future game or DLC, but they did it at the expense of this game's ending which I hate.

The DLC's
Not gonna go too in depth with all of them, but I'll briefly talk about them in this section. Each one adds a little extra game time. Most only really add an hour or two. A Woman's Lot specifically I'd say is the best of them all, but that also has its own little flaws. The one with Hans is such a push over and is more just a glorified side mission. Band of Bastards does try to add a small roster of new characters and tries real hard to make you like them, but ultimately I couldn't care less for any of them. Not to mention how immersion breaking the last mission is for it. Only worthy part of it was in the middle of it when you sat and drank with them and tell tales of some things you've done in the story up to that point.

Hopes for the future
This was a great experience and I loved like, 75% of the time I played it, there are plenty of things I hop they improve on. Either in future patches, dlc, or new game if they make one. Optimize the combat better for multiple enemies, balance combat a bit more so you aren't an absolute juggernaut near the end, add crossbows (that really kept annoying me, the lack of crossbows), a good story that also has a good and satisfying ending. Honestly my list for things I hope they add and change could be a mile long, but those are some of the bigger things to list off.

Conclusion
By the end, I had a fun time and still highly recommend it to anyone, especially those who love rpg's and games set in the middle ages. I feel the game gets a fair 7/10. A great game but with plenty of room for improvements. I adored this game and hope Warhorse tries to make another game like this but with all the improvements that could have been made to this game. I know this game will remain in my memory for a while for certain.

Another year another call of duty game. I'll admit this one isn't the worst one. In fact it's pretty good. I'll keep details vague to not spoil anything but will give an overall rating.

Single player campaign: I liked it for the most part. I did encounter a few really bad bugs and a hand full of certain sections in it I felt could have been better or just flat out dumb. Story and characters was mostly uninteresting, regardless I still had fun with it and got immersed in some parts. Worse than MW 2019 but good enough to be a decent addition to the campaigns of CoD. 7/10

Multiplayer: The main reason why people play CoD. This multiplayer I must say isn't bad. It's got some cool new toys and features to play with and decent maps. I personally suck at PvP so can't say I have a ton of fun in many games since I am getting my butt kicked more than half the time. So take my opinion of multiplayer with a grain of salt. 6.5/10

Co-op: Sad to say this portion of the game is basically the weakest yet again. Developers clearly didn't put nearly as much time and effort into developing this part. Not only is there so little of it to play at the time of writing this review, but each mission feels so janky, and fair at absolute best. Bugs, AI either being way too easy or way too difficult in parts, and any sort of story presented here feels uninspired and bottom of the barrel. 5/10

Overall while I will give this game more praise than negativity, it does still have plenty of things about that are worth noting before purchasing. The 70 USD price tag is too much in the current state. Only buy if you know you will put a ton of time into it and have been a big fan of CoD for a while. For others either wait for a sale (Cod going on sale? Hah funny) or maybe wait for more bug fixes and additional content. Also could just play Warzone 2 but I hate br games so I stay away from it.
