I cannot express to you how highly I anticipated this game. I have been following its development since its announcement, so it had a high bar to live up to. Clearly, ID hit the bar, and then some. so far, after the first two bosses, I've seen more, done more, and literally smiled more than in all of Doom 2016.

Pros:
. incredible movement system - once you unlock dashing, it is just a joy to do pretty much everything.
. great depth of combat/high skill ceiling - in part due to the greater movement, but also the addition of demon weakspots, this is no "braindead shooter" like Doom 2016 could be if you wanted to just run around with the Super-shotgun.
. Story - there is one! The universe of Doom has expanded a lot, building on the lore of all those before it. ID has created an impressive mythology here. I loved the story of Doom 2016, so I love how much more there is in the sequel.
. Power fantasy - I didn't really think about it much in Doom 2016, but in Eternal, it is remarkably clear just how much the Doom Slayer, and the player, is a badass. Normal men cower in fear of you, even speaking of you as if you were some kind of god. In short: me likey.
. Exploration - Doom 2016 had a lot of secrets hidden around its levels, and Doom Eternal takes that up to eleven.

Possible Cons: (I say possible because not everyone will mind many of these)
. MUCH higher difficulty - For my first playthrough, I am playing on Ultra-Violence, and I have died a couple times, which couldn't be said for Doom 2016. There is just more demanded of the player here, both in combat, and ...
. Platforming - out, because now, the levels are more than arenas with hallways between them. I personally like it(because it was engaging, and added to the search for secrets), but I can see how some might think it's unnecessary, and just adds to the time between combat encounters.
. LOTS of progression systems - Weapon mod upgrades, Praetor suit upgrades, health/armor/ammo upgrades, runes, Sentinel batteries(they unlock stuff in the hub), there's a lot. That might turn some people off.

Overall, it's a sweet game. There's DLC on the horizon, but nothing's been revealed so far on that, so I'm not quite sure if I recommend the deluxe edition. Highly recommend it though, it's grand ole' time.

if it's on sale, the gameplay is worth the purchase, but for 60$ the ♥♥♥♥ story isn't.

I've had mine since launch, and have been using it somewhat frequently since then. I like it, because as someone who didn't use a controller much as a child, the pad is much easier to use than an analog stick.

Reseña de acceso anticipado
It certainly has improved a lot since it's initial release. Then again, that is a given for an early accesss game, but at this point, I would recommend it to anyone, after all, it's free.
On the topic of new players, was not nearly as difficult to start playing as it was made out to be. While there are certainly some aspects that need to be learned, any one who played soldier in TF2 will certainly be able to play decently almost immediately.
The heroes seem fairly balanced, with none being especially overpowered, and the character you get in the free version, ranger(who is my main btw) is very good, with middle of the road stats and useful abilities.
The matchmaking wait times are a bit slower than I might like, but it usually only takes a little over a minute to find a match, which granted, sucks, but once you are in game, it doesn't matter.
Now on to the dreaded topic: loot boxes. In Quake Champions, they are only cosmetic, and even then, can be easily bought with in-game currency you earn by playing. You can buy a backpack every 1-2 games, which seems a decent speed to me.
Overall, aas someone who never played any of the other quakes, I can see why this might be unappealing, but I would suggest giving it a chance.
