The creation engine is a pretty good game, and it has so much mod potentia- wait, what do you mean I'm reviewing "Skyrim?" I thought you couldn't review individual mods? Oh, so because its made by Bethesda it doesnt count? That's a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Fine then.

Ahem. Skyrim. Also known as "that one large mod pack for Fallout 3". You can have plenty of fun just with the base game, but I'd estimate that to only be about 60-80 hours, and that's only if you are trying to do most everything in the game. The main draw of this game is the incredible modding community, because without it I doubt most people would still be playing Skyrim to this day.

The creation club is also a load of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it is very easily ignored, and there are even multiple mods on the in game mod downloader that removes the option and news from the title screen, and even if you couldn't, there's barely anything on there. Only use it if you want some new mudcrab skins.

Mods from the in game downloader aren't the best, but the most popular ones are actually worth your time. Too bad they are either rips of Nexus mods or reposts from the people who made them. Pro-tip, only download and activate mods 1-3 at a time. If you build your mod collection slowly instead of downloading 200 as soon as you start you can find which mod is crashing your game much easier than parsing through a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laundry list of terribly worded instructions for load orders and incompatibilities.

So you got your mods sorted out, and you are ready to begin your game. Make sure to save often, and I mean OFTEN. This game is unstable as ♥♥♥♥, don't ever trust it. Your game will crash suddenly, and without warning, and you might even lose hours of progress, so don't forget to save before any important events.

This game is fun, don't get me wrong, but its many shortcomings can't let me recommend the game if it isn't on sale.
