The best restoration of a classic adventure game ever released. Perfectly polished without any ounce of faithlessness to the original. Bravo, Revolution!

Also the attention to detail with Steam Deck support is fantastic. I don't think I've played a game that, out of the box, was designed to use both the trackpad or the touch screen and or the gamepad at the same time. The attention to detail on this, even in the UI and the tutorials, shows the developer really cared about supporting the Steam Deck akin to supporting a mainstream console. Major kudos for that.

And if you love classic adventure games, this has to be one of the best. Don't wait and pick this up - entirely worth the full price (I actually paid more as I was part of the Kickstarter)

Operation Flashpoint is back with avengeance. Amazing performance, fantastic community, and getting mods to work is as simple as just connecting to a server and waiting for the mods to download and enable. What blows my mind is that they've shipped this with cross-play with console and mods work on console too!

Buggy and Blurry

The original is one of my all-time favourite adventure games that I've played countless times over the years. This "Enhanced Edition" is so deeply flawed in many many ways.

Buggy, with choices seemingly forgotten and the wrong ending occurring, animations playing at double speed, and graphical artifacts in countless scenes. Some are infuriating such as respawing hostile NPCs that, once dealt with, the scene's navigation doesn't work so you have to return where you came and, when you try again, there are those NPCs once more. The Esper machine struggles to zoom, takes longer than it used to, and the images distort horribly until it is finished animating (not present in Classic). Several important things you interact with in the game are huge distorted pixels (again, not present in Classic). And so on.

Blurry, with the AI upscaling smearing everything so that it looks like the camera is out of focus and all the beautiful detail is completely lost - rain is one of the most painful losses as the upscaling seems to have completely rendered it out. Sure, you can press Q and disable the upscaled visuals but at that point, it doesn't seem to make any sense why you would want to play the Enhanced version over Classic.

I understand that the developer likely couldn't do much better than they did; the original source code for the game was lost years ago as well as all the original art assets. The most redeeming thing they could do at this point is re-upscale the images and videos again but using alternative AI models to seek to ensure the detail is retained and the blurriness of their first attempt is avoided.

That said, what does redeem this release is that the ScummVM ports of Blade Runner are included - both the original game as first released as well as a version with additional content restored that was missing in the original but lurking in the game files.

However, the ScummVM ports are available for free (so long as you have the original game discs) so unless you don't own the original game, there isn't really anything worthwhile about this "Enhanced" version of the game.

I do hope Nightdive return to this and attempt a few more rounds of polish - they are a magnificent studio and their other releases have been stellar. This one, sadly, isn't on par with their typical high level of quality (but there is hope for it).

GrizzlyGames are proving to be one of the best indie game developers around with a focus of minimalist design but incredible replay value and stunningly yet simple designs.

A surprisingly relaxing and engrossing card game that mashes up the deck building and survival genre in a new and interesting way. Worked fantastically on the Steam Deck too.

Patch 1.5 shows that CDPR are committed to turning this game around from the poor initial launch. In it's current state, this game is easily one of the most impressive and immersive first-person games on the market and I can finally, and confidently, recommend it to everyone.

Astonishing. This game should be on every school curriculum around the globe. This is the most entertaining interactive computer science course ever made.
Incredibly slick and stable for an early access title too!

EDIT: 29 hours in. Have only encountered a single bug that was solved by closing and reopening the game. Given it saves your progress constantly, this wasn't a headache in the slightest. Still INCREDIBLY impressed by this masterpiece.

Awed at the mindbending lensing effects of the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy and promptly jumped into a system and exploded from the heat of its sun. 10/10

Immense kudos to Sony for bringing one of their amazing console exclusives to PC and adding support for things like ultrawide.
