Played for almost 300 hours, so you can guess that I like the game. This is my second Monster Hunter, being that I primary play PC. My first was Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on PSP a long time ago. After a couple hundreds of hours playing with "The Claw" technique, it's great that MH has finally come to PC. They have some bumps in their net code, where you can get kicked randomly at times, but it's few and far between enough to be considered a "game ruining" issue. They did a great job moving it to PC, for the most part, and I hope they continue to do it with future products. This is definitely the most beginner-friendly entry in the series, so new players should definitely jump into MH with this one first.

I hear there is going to be a trial version coming to let players play up to 3 star quests. A good deal that anyone curious about the game should give a shot. You'll get to try out all the weapons and find what suits you best. Happy Hunting!

I don't revel in a decent game franchise being condemned for its bad decision-making. I played 140+ hours and really enjoyed the game. It's a damn shame they made such an obviously terrible choice to make microtransactions included in their game, when they specifically said they wouldn't.

Edit: So they removed microtransactions. While that is the correct decision, I personally believe it is too-little, too-late and still have the horrible taste left in my mouth from this whole debacle. I had my fun with the game before, but I'm moving on. A game developer with these kinds of unpredictably bad business practices doesn't deserve anymore time investments. Good luck to Overkill in the future, but I'm not going to be a part of it.
