There are a couple of things I miss from the original. Such as moats and some siege equippment. But I like the changes they made to balance things out, it changed a lot of strategies and spiced things up. While graphical improvements aren't as important, the destruction physics on walls are nice. As a game of its own, it is fun to play.

Is excessive and complex micromanagement supposed to be fun? Because this game has done it right. You're in control of every drop of oil, speck of dust and citizens thought, as it should be in planned economy, duh!

Brings a lot of memories, while I was still a smol G A M E R, I spent many hours after school, trying to beat my older brother's times in all the levels and then making him play my own straight-up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ levels hiding an apple in a visible but unreachable place. Being a real Elastomaniac, whenever I drive a real cross-bike I have this urge to twitch while leaning, I wonder how long it will take until I cause somersaulting myself into a fatal accident.

This is probably the most useful software on steam, it helped me run games that I couldn't get to work due to hardware or software incompatibility (mostly GPU and its driver issues), works for the most new and old games, also aids while modding games into 16:9 ratio, that were originally 4:3 only.

I have great memories of this game, it may not be as good as Caesar 3, but I certainly enjoyed it. Back in the day it had pretty active community, so there were plenty of custom scenarios, which still can be found on the site. If you're into economic RTS strategies with city management and minor battle aspect with historical background, then it's worth buying, probably wait for sale, or it may appear on humble bundle again someday.

This game is a lot of fun, but it becomes really frustrating if you try to do some challanging stuff. Also, this game taught me what to do if I was driving a bus, which has no brakes.

I give it 9 bumbers out of 10, yes you hit that many bumbers in this game.

But, seriously there's nothing to complain about aside from 4:3 screen ratio as the only option. Characters are greatly graphically improved, gameplay mechanics got adapted for PC especially, but you can choose to play without those mechanics. The same epic feeling from the story with a pinch of nostalgia. Well, yes there's the less refined backgrounds, but if that would be graphically remade, we would wait for this gem to the Early Spring... of 2020!! :D

Would recommend to anyone. (Mostly to people, who have a great taste in games obviously.)
