Rewards for a missiom
I wanted to hear what you guys think of current system of rewards for a missions?

At this point we have a system where your rewards are delivered based on percentage of your success in the mission.

In other words if you are about to get reward of 100 units of Gold and your success rate is 76%, you will get 76 units of Gold.

Our basic idea was this:
- this is skill based game, where you need to build your shooting skills
- the better skill you have, you will get better reward for the mission

and that, from that perspective, seems to be fair.

Now, we got an argument which is coming from another angle, where a player is aiming to get a reward presented before mission starts and that reward is 1 unit of Gold which she/he needs to buy new equipment and once he scores 76%, he actually don't get that 1 unit of Gold and we have a moment of frustration.

We are aware that presenting the reward being a function fo your success rate in the level is not done, yet, and we plan to improve that so at least player will be aware of that concept.

On the other hand, I'm seeing a problem with current system where you actually absolutely don't know how much reward you will get and YES, that makes it difficult for planning your resources, that is true.

Should we keep the system as it is now, where reward is percentage of your mission success rate?

Should we make it fixed no matter what is your mission success rate?

What are other ideas that comes to your mind how to use mission success rate as a factor in the game?

I would like to hear what you guys think, this is something we are working on these days and every input is appreciated.

Thanks,

I think the basic skill system on shooting skills is a very good idea.

It's good the way that it is. I would change it relative to the reward value though. For instance, if 100 iron is available and you get a 76% you get 76 iron, that makes sense; but if there is only 1 iron availabe it would be nice if you had to score above a 50% to get it. Rounding up in a sense for single digit rewards.
