#3 The Nightbot guy I had a close personal experience with back when I used to set up stuff for Cobaltstreak's channel as a mod. I built a Nightbot command suite for his channel and then found out after the fact that the owner, could change the commands and monitor/record your chat and inputs from the bot, remotely. He was storing all this data on a server. A bunch of crazy stuff happened. Too long to go into but, the guy is a real sheisty fellow and a real mean guy too.

#2 Maybe Discord became TOO big for him to profit more by doing that, yet, but I still don't trust the guy. He ended up in court, and lost, over all of that as well.

A long time ago, on the Discord subreddit, I spent hours and hours making a post with all the proof and links etc... Didn't realize the Discord mods were actually employees of Discord, the owner responded to me and said none of it was true and a bunch of other nonsense. The thread ended up about +800 on the sub with people corroborating my story and then eventually, the mods removed it. I posted it again and people just never saw it. Probably from a shadow ban.

It's one of those things people will think I'm crazy about so I don't usually talk about it. I don't like the owner/partner of Discord. The guy that created Nightbot on Twitch. He's a terrible human being. On top of that, his partner, the guy that put up most of the money for Discord's creation is a scammer who sells private information to interested parties in China. There's a LONG history of it. He previously created another app that got super popular, like 800,000 users (not as big as discord which is why you didn't hear about it). Once that app hit a place where video game developers were starting to integrate it into the coding of their games and so on, without warning, without a heads up, he sold the entire thing to a Chinese company who dismantled it within a very short period of time and had just bought it for all the private data that was in the system at that point.

Would be interested in watching that if it's thrown up on YT or something :) . Also maybe dumb question, why not just use discord? (not to sure what the big difference is between them)

If you guys are still seeing my responses in here, we're gearing up to start a campaign with either Pathfinder 2.0 or Starfinder which is Science Fantasy, Pathfinder in space. We'll be using Fantasy Grounds to facilitate this. I already own the ultimate license so no one needs to purchase anything. You'll have access to all of it when you join the game using the demo version for free.

I'll get the server PC finished this week and let you guys know where to check in at. Even if you can't/don't play, there will be a chat etc...

I may not be talkative but I check in from time to time.
