A long time ago, about a month I thought it might be fun to do something to give back to the gaming community and have some fun while doing so. After the first event, I've come to realize that there are many awesome gamers out there. However as a whole, the gaming community sucks. If it gets to the point of having to ban people for wandering into the middle of the ring while people are boxing, it's not fun. Yes, I could setup a map to block people from wandering into the ring. I could do a number of things to try and restrict people from being themselves. The event raised a staggering $10. But people are still people, and as a whole I really don't want to give games to. I've had many random people add me, begging for stuff. Going so far as to insist I give them my password, so they can give themselves everything I have.

It's far less frustration for me if I don't.
It's far more cost effective for me to just donate directly.
It's more more time effective to just directly help out.
I don't want to give things to people that can't behave themselves. A classroom of kids behave better than a random collection of people on the internet.


This is why we cannot have nice things.
