Tom, Ali, Gid and later Mike ran through Dead Air. I'm not sure whether anyone died before the gates, but in the final charge to the gate, Tom and Gid were dragged down, whilst Ali fled to safety. Mike gave up on the others and tried to save himself, but when he opened the safe-house door he was shot in the face by Ali, who then left him outside to die. :(

A textbook defence of the fuel truck saw them all comfortably safe in the plane. So that's 4 escapes, Ali's may have been a full-game survival.

Then they ran The Parish on Advanced Realism. Mike got curious and caught the Tank's eye in the park, and they were smashed to pieces shortly afterwards.

Retries went better and saw them make it through the houses and down into the sewer, but Tom was hauled to his death by a Smoker (shouting "GID! GID! PUNT ME!"), and when the surviving three escaped into the junkyard, someone (Gid or Ali?) set off a car alarm, and they died an ignominious death atop a red car.

Tom, Gid and Mike battled through Dead Centre, and their expert mall-sweeping and petrol-hurling got them away quite comfortably.

After they ran out of fuel, they fled a forest fire on foot. Mike pointed out a katana to Gid, who then became a bloodthirsty tornado of death! With Gid's sword and Mike and Tom wielding MMG and Grenade Launcher, they fought through to a waiting helicopter.

A tank ambushed, and it killed Gid. Tom, realising he was holding a defibrillator, heroically turned back to rescue him. The zombies continued to attack, and Gid dashed towards the helicopter in the confusion. Mike fought for his life, trying to find Tom, but Tom kept insisting that he be left behind.

As Gid waited in the helicopter, Mike fought desperately up the stairs alone, but was dragged down as he reached the final ladder onto the roof. Gid told the pilot to leave.
