I've set a group up on Facebook for all of us who play L4D 1&2 so we can have some fun (which some of us already are) & we can also put faces to the ppl we play with, its open to all so feel welcome to join it!
The group is called,
Players of Left4Dead 1&2

Within the last week i have had 2 friends who's accounts have been Hijacked also resulting in losses of money!

We all need to do our part, spread word, warn friends & have them pass on what we know to help others from falling into this trap that has unfortunatly caught some of us out!

This Hacker is Hijacking friends accounts & sending to that persons friends (been yourself & i) a link that is false, DON'T log on to the link. I was sent the link as well but deleted it, i personally wouldn't go on any link unless you 100% sure of whom has sent it, it would of been so easy of me to of clicked on the link sent as its from a friend.

Steps we have to take!

Make sure that your email is verified, you'll be surprised how many of us have'nt already. Go to File, Settings, Account. There you will find if you have verified it or not already. While on that page there is a box that is your choice to tick or not which reads, Don't save account credentials on this computer.

If you have purchased games through Steam it is likely your bank details are stored on your account. I found mine in my prurchases & gift purchases which i deleted as soon as i realised, please check that you do the same i would be wise to do so! Go to Store page & there in the upper right corner you will see the words, your account, they'll also be there with the option to delete details if they are still there, do this everytime you make a purchase as they will come back on!

We have to watch out for one another as i'm sure most of you know as i do myself that Steam support aren't always the best of help so we need to help each other.
