Welcome to the Slaughter

Greetings everyone,

It has been a long time! And for that, I am very sorry. My life has gotten extremely busy within the last few years, so reviews and money for gaming has taken a backseat.

In the last four years I have been through college, purchased my first home, and moved to a new town 20 hours away from my previous location. I've been spending my free time and income on the things that I need for my home, and quite honestly I'm just bummed out on the whole PC gaming thing now.

You see, friends, I built my first PC back in 2014 and it was amazing! The rig that I still use to this day, I built in 2017. But more and more developers are getting lazy with PC ports, and it's not helped by 'big whigs' like Ubisoft who call us all pirates and want us to not own any of our games.

So, truly, between all of these things and the never-ending stream of absolutely terrible horror titles on Steam that I got tired of wasting money on... I'm just not in it like I used to be.

With that being said, I have absolutely had a blast reviewing games (and prior to that, music) for the last decade and a half. I appreciate every single one of you that have followed me, trusted my reviews, given me feedback and encouragement, and have stuck around with me over the years. To newcomers, I'm sorry, but at least you'll find a plethora of my old content here.

I haven't even had a chance to play Alan Wake II and some other big horror titles that released last year! I miss my horror games, but I know I'll have time to catch up one day.

The Discord will remain open, I know I'm not active in there much but I do read the discussions and comments in there when I get the time.

Take care friends! May life be good and kind to you all. Be kind to each other. Some part of me hopes to return some day. But another part of me hopes not to, as I began writing reviews as a coping mechanism to get through the 2011 recession and the depression/uselessness it gave to me.

If I start writing again, I hope it's out of a desire and not a necessity.
