It seems like yesterday that we did this to revamp the old page to create this one, but here we are again.

We've been using the name "The Autobox" since shortly after the creation of this page. That was four years ago now (!!!) and we've been wanting to reflect that change in the name of the Steam group. Sadly, Steam does not allow us to change the name of this group. Since we're so anal about the name we went ahead and made a new group so we can use the new name. We will no longer be updating this page, and future members will be directed to the new group.

You can thank us when Steam releases support for changing the name of a group next week because knowing our luck that's what's going to happen.

We are currently still in the process of setting everything up. There are posts incoming on the group forum regarding changes and such, so be sure to keep an eye there for more details.

I'm posting this for the sake of anyone who hasn't been on the Mumble recently to hear this. Some of you may have noticed in the last few days that our Garry's Mod server has been down. This is not due to maintenance, software issues or any other server error. We have made the decision not to renew our lease. The Garry's Mod server will be down indefinitely.

Player population on the Autobox was low for quite a while. Our community as a whole has, for the most part, moved on from Garry's Mod. I think the fact that we have received absolutely no messages about this is really telling of that. That's why this does not really mean anything to the community in the long run. Our Mumble server is still up and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Everyone is absolutely welcome to join and come hang out with us at any time.

This Saturday, May 16th, we will be holding a community roundtable meeting. All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend. We will be going over our plans for the summer regarding the Autobot Sandbox, Autobox DarkRP, and other games. If you have any input or would just like to listen in, you can attend the meeting by joining the Autobot Sandbox Gmod server, Autobox Mumble server or the Steam group chat at 6:00 PM CST (check the group page for the exact time, Steam should convert it to your time zone automatically).
