HELP PLEASE! Silent hunter 5 is causing me great despair and frustration on windows 11 with Nvidia GTX 1660 ti
Hi, take a minute please for my sad story, and if you can help, bless you.

I used to play SH5 a lot, then i got a new machine, a gaming laptop with windows 11 and 32 gb ram and an Nvidia GTZ 1660 ti 6gb graphics card.

So, driven by the desire to play again, i got the game on steam.

That's when the drama started.

At first, the main menu was obscured with no sound, had the little screeen flickering issue, but solved it changing my DPI settings.
So after changing my DPI settings, i was able to lauchn and get rid of the little flickering screen. But then, when i skip de intro movie, the main menu appears dark, obscured, with no sound.

Well, turns out It was the damned gamma setting, now it appears, but with no sound.
OH, and game gets stuck in the beggining on the tutorial , it just hangs, i cant even get up from my bed lol, any ideas?

I'm on windows 11, Nvidia GTX 1660 ti, the problem is that my card is updated to the lastest drivers, but, de detection iu in silent hunter 5, says i have and outdated driver version (166.36), and ask for 191.07.

What the hell?

Anyone knows how to fix this and end the suffering?

An idea came to me, made a partition with WIN 10, now i'm playing perfectly. Thamks.

For Better Functioning of Silent Hunter 5 in Windows 10 and other versions:
Move the mouse over the simulator installation folder, click on Properties, then click on the Security tab, click Edit, select the local user line, activate all permissions except the last one, press apply. ready!.
Run Sh5.exe in Administrator mode First time, If there are black screen problems or no graphics are visible: go to the My Documents folder, open the ~Documents\SH5\data\cfg folder -> Edit the Main.Cfg file:
look for this line:
[VIDEO]
;Resolution=1024,768,60,22
;FullScreen=No
delete (;) before each line, and write (;) before the current resolution (last line) and FullScreen=Yes you must write (;) without parentheses! Run Sh5.exe again in Administrator mode!!!
