The new multiplayer patch is live - so is my server. Lets put it to the test!

The new server is now going up - with a clean slate and a slightly changed modset. This game will have a somewhat heavier focus on the PvP side of things, but there are rules and I expect the players that attend to both read, respect and abide by those rules. These rules have been made together with people of this group (those who contributed) and they are in place as we also cater to more than just the PvP hungry here.

However, this game will be more PvP oriented - and as such, expect your ships to be attacked outside said safe zone. It is there for advisable that you build cost effective ships you can bare to lose if it comes to that.

Bellow you can read the server setting and rules. Rules might be updated as the game progresses.

SETTINGS AND RULESET SO FAR

1:
4 spawn locations, Red team, Blue team, Green team and Yellow team. Ownership is set to "nobody", which means when you spawn in - "your team" spawns at chosen teams location and claims ownership (only 1 team pr spawn). This is now your colour, and all your ships needs to be representing this colour - however the saturation and tone of it can be changed. As in "green" has to be "green", but can be "dark green" or any variation around Green. Ships don’t need to be 100% this colour, but the larger parts of it needs to be colorized in this way to make sure that it is recognizable. Statics buildings can have any colour.

2:
Each spawn point has a beacon, named "SAFEZONE". These are set to 5km, giving each of you a 10km "safe zone" bubble to operate and get what you need. Inside these bubbles, there will be no PvP of any sort. This includes potential of "smart" missiles/bombs or orbital weapons, shooting from "allowed" range and into "safe zone". Breaches of this rule, will be penalized.

3:
You are not allowed to mine for minerals within another faction’s Safe zone - the minerals within said safe zone belong to said faction. You are however allowed to make "peace" and trade minerals between yourselves. That is -traded- as in one faction needs to mine it, and trade it to another faction according to the agreement of the trade. You are not allowed to "give permissions" to another faction to mine within your safe zone.

4:
Defensive turrets built inside the safe zone, must be range restricted to only reach within safe zone. I.e. - if you place a turret 10 meter from the Safe zone border - you can only have 10m range on said turret (safe zone is safe zone, you don’t need to build turrets inside it, but if you do, those are the rules).

5:
It is not allowed to "breach" or salvage spawn areas / Safe zones not currently in use. This to enable people to join in on the game later.

6:
Respect the rules concerning the safe zones. The first base, is off limits until told otherwise - a place where people can enjoy building their first creations. You have the rest of space to unfold in full-fledged war.

I wish you all the best of luck, and as the server admin i will ofcourse also appreciate if one "cleans up" after oneself as much as one can concerning moving bases, accidental crashes and what not - to keep the servers performance as good as possible.

Im going away for a week, will be back again on friday 6th.

This means, if there are any updates while im gone - the SE server wont be updated untill im back.
