Optimal Strategy
so the top three teams get rewards, and the winners are randomly selected from the members of the winning teams. If you are on the most popular team, that likely will not be you as there are many many other members of the team. The optimal strategy would be to aim for the second or third place teams which have far fewer members, as you will be much more likely to personally win a prize.
Any thoughts?

Well, for the other but corgi team you can't know which will win (at least by now) as they all have very similar points and very different to 2st (Corgi), so...

I wouldn't expect to get any free game...

It's a risk but still likely to pay off. If corgi has 7x the number of players as the rest of the teams, lets call your chance of winning 3x/7. Each other team will on average get 3x/4 chance of winning. So basically almost double the chance of winning overall.

This is like buying the lottery
The chances of winning is likely 1 in 50000 or less because just like the lottery the purpose of this event is for Valve to make lots of money and giving away free copies of Cyberpunk 2077 is not a good way to make money
