We'll be doing courses together, sharing resources, and of course, playing and developing games. Looking for a small but committed and effective crew of game makers and players.

Hi guys,

So in order to get the ball going, I figure we all should have completed the following readings and exercises for the following:

Lectures: Level 1[gamedesignconcepts.wordpress.com]and Level 2[gamedesignconcepts.wordpress.com]

Please finish any and all the readings that you can (included in the lecture notes). As someone already pointed out, a lot of this is vocabulary building for the latter half of the course when more of the design projects come in. So alongside the readings and basic course material, we can play games together and also tool around with Garry's Mod, which we'll have to learn on top of the course material.

Also, if you're interested, there are a couple great videos from Extra Credits about being a game designer. The rest of their videos are also fantastic analysis of games and game design, but I'll just post the designer ones for now:

Hey guys, just an FYI. If you haven't put yourself down in the introduction thread or contacted me about anything, I will be kicking you from the group and making this group private. We start class this Saturday. Reading need to be finished for the first two lessons, and you need to have picked up G-mod. Let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome, welcome. Please check out some of the discussion threads already going. If you haven't picked up your book yet, try to get it before next week. We need to be through chapters 2 beforew next Saturday. Also, say hi to one another. These are your fellow designers.
