Over the next few days rektbot's code will be upgraded, you might notice some small changes to the way reports work and to the way account history & transactions are displayed.

You might also notice downtime/bot restarts during this time as we fix production issues which weren't uncovered in testing. Please flag any serious concerns with us but do not raise a !support ticket just because the bot has gone down.

When rektbot was conceptualised I was a complete nub to nodejs, I built the bot from scratch on top of DrMckay's node-steam-user library. The code is obviously a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare to maintain and desperately needs some refactoring.

The material changes involve combining history & statement into a single transaction ledger, changing the way reports work, enabling !whitelist as a self-service command; and finally a rewrite of the !bans system so as not to hit steam API on every check.

The rest of the refactoring involves removal of wasteful code, improving performance and reducing database calls. I don't intend to rewrite everything, it'll still be ♥♥♥♥ but it'll be easier to manage.

Valve could possibly be doing silent updates to Overwatch during the Majors because overwatch will hardly be used during said time anyway. Valve have done silent updates on OW before which actually stopped game bans at all for several days. Hopefully we will be back and running in the next few days when the update is fully rolled out.
