This is just a quick fix for the dark mode issues reported from yesterday and adds the original light mode files in a seperate folder to be able to quick-switch between Dark/Light modes without redownloading.

Still no plans to actively update the theme in the future, just was an easy few fixes while the latest update was fresh.

This release does a lot of things, first it merges both LIGHT and DARK versions of Pressure² into the one, this means there are no more bugs in one version and not the others etc. etc... It fixes every fixable bug that's been reported in the GitHub Issue Tracker since like forever... and most importantly, adds support for the new Steam Friends/Chat stuff.

Light's the default theme, but I've attached a pre-configured dark theme zip to this release to make it easier on you guys.

If you've got the Light theme and want to go to the dark theme, copy out the contents of the + DARK MODE folder, overwrite the files when asked. Open theme.ini and follow the instructions inside.

1. Valve have shown that the future of Steam clearly does NOT include theming/skinning, so Pressure² and all the other Steam skins are now a dying breed. It's just a matter of time.

2. I lost interest in this stuff a long time ago, I've dragged myself along kicking and screaming to get this skin to you guys whenever I can muster the motivation... but enough is enough. This is my last release of Pressure². It either dies with me, or you guys work together and keep it updated hereon. I'll jump on regularly when there's pull requests and vet them and merge them in as needed going forward but I won't be actively developing the theme anymore.


It's been a fun ride guys. You're all beautiful humans and the only reason I've continued as long as I have is your support.

This is the first release of the dark edition of Pressure². I lied. I had a sudden burst of enthusiasm and smashed this out pretty quick. There will be bugs and glitches, I've done some quick testing but not too much so please let me know of any issues you encounter and I will fix them when I can be bothered :)

I'm sure you've all noticed the radio silence since 1.0.1 bugfixes, and in truth it's because I have lost interest in skinning Steam. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥ of a job and I just can't keep my enthusiasm high enough to do anything with it currently. The skin works, it works well, and it's complete, there's no pressing issues so I'm fading back into the shadows.

Jayess (Js41637 on GitHub) has, and will continue, to keep the skin updated and he has control in both the Git project and the Steam Group to do whatever he needs to do. I will pop in time to time as needed as well.


I read through all of your opinions, some of which were well articulated and I appreciate that, and as much as I personally didn't want to do it I began work on a compromise version that I would've been content with releasing as a dark theme. Then I had computer issues, then I had to replace components, then I had to reinstall and in the process managed to lose data including the diff between the Git version and what I had locally quarantined while I worked and experimented. Then after losing all of that effort, I just couldn't bring myself to work on it again.

So here I am, no longer have the energy or enthusiasm for any of this. I'm done. There are some of you guys in the community working on a custom version, and from my understanding it's working without issue.
