Terror and trauma. In space.

Intrinsically a subset of the science fiction genre, space horror is distinguished by a dearth of terrestrial locales and the presence of vacuum and/or near-vacuum environments. Often boasting hard sci-fi sensibilities, games falling under this umbrella have players stepping into the boots of the likes of colonial marines and systems engineers stationed on everything from spacefaring dreadnoughts to lunar bases. Beset by rogue artificial intelligences, carnivorous xenoforms, or worse, these unfortunate souls must watch as the routine devolves into a nightmare with the stars as its backdrop.

Although space horror has popularly complemented more action-oriented experiences, space-based survival horror games have recently been cropping up at a surprising rate, raising hopes for the stimulus of a second renaissance for the declining survival horror genre.

You might have thought this group was dead, and I can't blame you. It's often difficult to distinguish between a cessation of brain activity and the effects of cryogenic sleep.

In any case, it's about time I get back into the swing of things, and what better way for me to do that than with a brand spanking new gameplay trailer for the very game that inspired me to create this group?

I must say, Routine is shaping up nicely. Keep it up, Lunar Software dudes (and dudette)!

In case you guys missed it, Routine is among the first batch of indie titles to get the coveted green light. Give it up for the Lunar Software team; Aaron Foster in particular, who joined this quaint little Steam group before its member count had more than one digit.
