National Security: Enlightenment is a geopoltical roleplay set in the turbulence of the Victorian Era. Revolutions, Philosophies, and Nations born and snuffed out in this glorious Era. Truly, we shall all reach enightenment under your brave command!

Your Majesty, Excellency, Highness, and the most Honorable; take command of your nation and lead them to their destiny. Be it a progressive utopia, the fires of a communist revolution, the solidarity of the Monarch, or the freedom of a libertarian paradise. For there is a darkness on the horizon... and this game of ours shall soon become a matter of national security.

Rules
Great Powers may not form alliances with more than one other Great Power until 1890. [AKA no world wars.]
You're expected to be realistic, and if you have concerns please contact the head admin. If he's offline, contact another.
Follow all the systems. Not sure how one works? Contact an admin, it's their job to help; if they don't know they'll direct you to one who does.
Non-Industrial nations who are isolationist CANNOT immediately go un-isolationist. Please do some research on how your nation reacted to Westernization and if they never made an attempt to westernize; contact the Head Admin to discuss how you can westernize if still unsure.
You can't spam units like Guards or Grenadiers, there is no set cap or ratio but we will be keeping a close watch.

Grand Tour of the Colonies

Queen Victoria has started a grand tour of Great Britain and all of her colonies and dominions under guard of the best Coldstream Guards. This trip will start in London and move to Edinburgh, from there to Dublin. There she will board a ship and set sail to Canada to visit Ontario. Next, her ship will take her to each of the main African colonies, especially South Africa. Finally, there will be a trip to India and Hong Kong before taking the trip back to England. The Prime Minister supports this as it would increase morale to the people in the colonies, knowing that their Queen still knew of them. Estimated travel time will be three years at the most.

The Whigs have also made good ground in Parliament, passing a new bill that forfeits the tithe the Irish Catholics once gave to the Anglican Church. There is now talk of passing laws that give more right to the people of India, though many agree that it is too soon to begin making so many laws over how they govern those not of British blood.

The Russian Empire railway system

With the near war breaking out, the Russian Empire has realized it's need for a proper, faster way to transport troops over the vast distance that is the Russian land, with this, The Great Tsar has decided to put a good large chunk of time, wealth and energy into creating a vast, large, and very modern railway system that splits and turns through all of Russia so troops can cover all borders as fast as possible in case of emergency or threat to the Empire.

The railway is expected to come with the aid of horses between stations to transport luggage, with carriages designed for the station owners to attend their stations properly and get back home when done with their shifts, while the railways will have full steam power invested into the proper workings of the machinery, double ended tracks, plated hulls and designed to be as fast as possible while still being able to carry the full weight of a Russian army from one end of Russia to the other if so needed.

While this project will take quite awhile to achieve, the Great Tsar has high hopes for this massive improvement to the infrastructure of the Empire that will serve for a long time to come, as it not only helps troops, but makes sure all cities of Russia get trade at an even faster pace than usual and is expected to allow another new opportunity for the citizens of Russia from the wealthy to the poor a chance of transport through the nation at a faster rate.

// A full 1,000,000 points is being put into this massive upgrade that is expected to help the economy of the nation through the railway, not just faster troop transport, and due to the sheer size, a lot of time and effort will be put into it so the investment will last for a whole four years to complete.
