Yes that's right everyone, we now have a spacebuild server. Although at the time of posting this message it is only a sandbox, you can expect it to be up and running within the next 24 hours.

Thanks to AussieTemplar, Milton Gamers now has a 15 slot Teamspeak server, payed for upfront for the next 6 months!

For those of you who don't know, TS is a Voice Over IP system where users can lounge in channels while generally talking or playing a game with friends. It is significantly better than talking through the VOIP provided by games like Garry's Mod as the sound quality is much better and other features that allow you to compensate for low quality microphones amongst other perks.

You can download TS right here: http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads (Make sure you download a Client file, not a Server one).

Once you've downloaded and installed it, open it up, click Connection in the top left hand corner and select Quick Connect. In server address, type the following: sydney2.gamehost.com.au:7766
Type in a nickname and ignore the bottom two fields before pressing Connect.

However, you are not a registered user and will not be able to move around the channels until an admin registers you. Once you are granted registration rights, simply click on Self>Register with Server. Choose a login name and password. Remember both as you will type them into the Quick Connect box next time you enter the server for your full priviliges.

The server has many channels and I will list them below:

AFK,
Counter Strike: Source,
Garry's Mod 10 (Sub Channels: Saturday Night Fever, Sandbox, Spacebuild),
Left 4 Dead (Sub Channels: Co-Op, Versus), Other Games and

The idea is that every day when you turn on the computer, you should sign into TeamSpeak and leave it running. No matter what you're doing, stay in TS and play any game you want while you're in an appropriate channel.

Note: All current server mods/admins will have administrative priviliges on TeamSpeak.

BAM! Saturday Night Fever IV! Do you have the balls? Do you? Bring a car, bring a gun and get ready for the race of your GMod career.

Saturday Night Fever IV is inspired by the movie 'Death Race' where drivers will drive a track one lap before I activate their weapons and they are permitted to open fire on their competition.

Depending on the lag caused by all the cars spawned at once, the race may or may not be run in heats. This will be decided prior to the race.

Rules:
-No more than 120 constraints per car (parenting recommended: read last Steam Group announcement).
-Only weapon allowed is the m2 hb 50cal. You are permitted two.
-You must have realistic steering and some kind of suspension. They're easy to learn, watch the independant suspension tutorial on www.zeospantera.com or ask me to teach you in the server.
-You are allowed three thrusters. One on the back of your car. Two to help with the steering (but my no means steer the car on their own). The max thrust they can output is 10000 with no more than a weight of 8.
-Has to fit on a 4*4 PHX plate.
-No prop spawners.
-You can have secret weapons like a heavy prop that unlatches and falls off the back of your truck and smashes the guy behind you. You can use weapons like these in the first lap.
-No auto-aiming devices, target finders or lock on/latch on capabilities (including grabbers, weld latches, forcers and missile devices). If you want to throw ♥♥♥♥ at the other guy, make sure it's a dumb prop that doesn't know what the ♥♥♥♥ it's doing and it sure as hell better not have been spawned by a prop spawner.
-Team jobs allowed.
-Passenger to gun allowed.
-Half of points based on result of races, half of points based on aesthetics.

I will weld latch you gun to your car while it is aimed directly down before the race, and will then deactivate everyone's weld latch at once after one lap so that everyone can begin shooting.
