I know most of you that will read this don't know me, but I wanted to thank everyone from this community, especially you Al. This is my official resignation and farewell. It was a pleasure to admin and be a part of this community. I met a bunch of great people and have definitely learned a few things about myself. I know I haven't been around lately and there was a falling out between myself and others but I'm still glad I was a part of this group. I hope those that follow in my footsteps will feel as I did. I may one day return but only time will tell. It's been a wonderful two years.

If you saw the announcement last night, you heard that we will be adding a new Micspam Kingdom server in Chicago. Everything is the same as the old one, but we're on a new host, with better pings, connections, and control over the server. The new server is in Chicago, so pings will be much more even across the United States. Pings for west caosters should still be below 70 which is still very low.

You can add it as a favorite at 72.5.195.44 or micspam.game.nfoservers.com

And dont worry, the old California kingdom will still be around for a long time! There is still almost 800 dollars on the old account, which is enough to pay to bills for the California server for almost two years.

Now, to answer any questions you might have:

Do I need to donate again to have donor status on the new server?
No. All donor statuses, bans, moderator statuses, hat/weapons effects, donor tags, and eveything else will carry over to the new server. However, you should still donate anyways! My freind Argyle was incredibly generous to host us on his extremely nice server, and you can show your gratitude by helping pay the bills! You can donate here![www.nfoservers.com] As always, there will be benefits to anyone who donates.

Is there anything different about the new server at all?
The only thing not fully implemented yet is the stats, but that will be fixed soon. All of the old plugins, mods, and settings (and of course, micspam) have been carried over to the new server. The rates are much higher on this new server, so you should have a much smoother gameplay experience than before.

Well, sort of.

For a while now I have been extremely disatisfied with the pings, quality, price, stability, and support of Gameservers (the server provider we use). Pings have risen, support is slow and unhelpful, connection problems are frequent, and the prices are uncompetitive. It is time for a change.

Soon we will be starting a new server, located in Chicago, and provided by a new server provider (most likely NFO), so as to appeal to people across the US and not just the west coast. This will eventually become the new Micspam Kingdom, to replace the old, slow one. However, the old one will still be around for a very long time.

Almost unfortunately, the donor incentive program has been wildly successful. The account currently has nearly 800 dollars in donations on it. There is nothing I can do with it other than spend it on Gameservers, and that much money is enough to keep the server going for almost two more years.

So those of you who are attached to the current server, don't worry, it's not going anywhere. All donor statuses, bans, moderators, and everything else will be carried over to the new server when it starts up. A batch of moderators will be selected to help maintain order on the new server. The servers will both remain operational as long as there is money in the account.

When the new server starts, I will be paying out of pocket for the first month of service. After that, it will be fueled by donations, much as the first kingdom has been. When it starts, I will hand out the donation link and ask for donations. Even if you've donated before, I hope you can help pitch in a little more.

With this news also comes others news: I will no longer be accepting donations for the current server. 800 dollars is way way more than enough money in Gameserver's grubby hands for their lackluster service. As soon as the new server starts, all donations going forward will go towards the new service provider.

These plans are not set in stone and anything I mentioned above could change depending on the circumstances.

I have configured the plugin to not spam you with text and popups, so dont worry about that. Keeping chat clear of spam is a priority on the Micspam Kingdom

When you're on the server, you can use /hlx_menu to check out the various stats and functions of the plugin.
