The purpose of this post is to simply bring about some well-deserved closure to a remarkable community.

These past few years have been great. The server has grown drastically and in turn, gained a large, active player base as well as the ability of self-sufficiency thanks to the help of some amazingly dedicated staff members and also a bunch of extremely supportive players.

Reasons for why the community will be closing include my lack of enthusiasm within running it and my limited amount of time caused by other things (e.g. studies). These factors have already destroyed what the server once was, inducing the ever dropping popularity of the server. On top of this, through the release of new games, TTT as a whole has become something less of what it once was in terms of recognition. The best option here seems to be closing rather than allowing the server to suffer for longer.

The forum will be put out of service today and will vanish at the end of its domain period.

Game servers will vanish on 17/02/16.

TS will be kept for personal use.

If I was to thank everyone who had a major impact in the communities maintenance and general enjoyment I’d be here all day. So as a whole, “Thank you for all the help and joy you have brought to the server along these past few years”.

I am aware that a lot of these players are not part of the steam group and there is a good chance a lot of them will never see this message/ know about it but the same still stands, thanks for all the help you’ve provided throughout.

The TTT Servers IP has changed due to a host change,

everything is the exact same including points,

Thankfully, the host put in a lot of effort in retrieving the files they had deleted by mistake and managed to scrape most of the files off their hard drives.

Because of this the server is back up, everything should be as left off, the only thing which might need minor adjustment is the pointshop,

The SQL database was restored to a backup made a few weeks ago, so some points and items may of been possibly lost, hopefully any admin+ will help with that.

If there are any issues which there may well be just msg me.

"A quick look at your account shows that our billing system has wrongly marked your service as 12 days overdue and terminated it. At this point we are unsure why it has made this assessment given that invoice #9369 is marked as paid up to 27/08/2015.

Unfortunately with your service being terminated, all your files will have been deleted including your MySQL database. There is no way we can recover these files but we do have an archived copy of your database.

I can only apologise for this error and look into the matter. " etc.. etc..

Unfortunately, as I am on vacation there is no recent backup available.. so the server will probably be vanilla/down or even not TTT for the next 2-3 weeks.

I can assure you that around the 25th the server will be fully restored to a backup made less than a month ago.

I apologise for the inconvenience this may cause to some players but theres nothing that can be done, its an error of the server hosts stupid machine :D. Even computers make mistakes i guess.. :(.

The downtime today was caused by a DDOS attack targetting our hosting company. Unfortunately the attack has broken some of the tools on our panel so the server is down currently, being worked on by the DC team.


It should take no longer than a few hours to fix.
