This group collects user with STEAM-Level 10 or higher.

I can't believe that we made it.

It's July 11th 2023 (CET).

10 Years and 100.000 Members!


It's incredible that such a small idea became that big.


Back then I started with inviting only some of my STEAM friends/ (Playbuddies) etc.
I even promoted some of them to moderators.
I started with 10 groups. (10-100)

It was growing so fast and STEAM-User levels reached the 100 in days
that I had to find a way to create more then 10 groups.

Now it was kind of a race between me and some who tried to reserve some higher level group URL's.
They had no chance. ;P
And so we now have 100 offical Level Collector Groups. (10-1000)

A while later the amount of invite requests, manually written as comments into our (Level 0 Group)
or on admins/ moderators profiles or elsewhere were not to handle anymore.

The implication of the Invite Bot helped a lot even if STEAM doesn't really like Bots.

I made a suggestion in the official STEAM suggestion board
which really got implemented a long while later.

The "Invite Request" Button.

Now we had way more control and could easily Accept/Ignore request.


The rest is history.

Anyway, there is a giveaway.

To give everyone the same chance I can not simply make a word grid game for example.
It's almost impossible to handle with so many members.
Also time-zones and so on.

So I will make it easy and will use random.org to find 10 random members.

How?
The memberlist of Level 10 Collectors has at moment ~1981 pages à ~51 members.

I will randomly take 10 pages out of these 1981.
I will randomly take 1 member out of the 51 on each of these pages.
So at the end I will have 10 random members.

These members have to be active on STEAM.
If they are offline for longer then 3 days or have their profile set to private then I will choose another one.

Excluded from winning are Admins, Moderators, Close Friends,
Bot Profiles, member with level lower as 10, private profiles
and member who join after this announcement.

I will add these 10 members to my friendlist.
Don't forget to acept my friend request if you got choosen!
We have to be STEAM Friends for at least 3 days before I can send anything.

I give away 10x 10€(~$11) to these lucky ones.
