[US/UK] Havelock Server (Life is Feudal : Your Own)

The current Havelock server will merge with another server, and thus quite some new players will join Havelock. However, it also brings changes ...

Allthough it was always my intention to keep the server running without wiping what so ever, it is no longer possible, because of this merger.

Until now the standard map was used, after merging there will be a much larger map, the so called wishbone map. This will give plenty of room for the new claims, and guarantee also the current players a nice spot in the sunlight. There is a lake, rivers, and a huge landmass.

Also, there will be a merger of server rules, and they will be strictly and fairly applied. It is impossible to grant current players their existing characters, while all the newcomers would have to start from scratch. Rules are equal for all, or they are no rules at all. And that from the start !

The new server will be much more RP, and for most of us, including me, this will be quite a change. However, I feel that it will make life on the server much more feudal and authentic, without being too strict at all.

This time, the trading will be handled by GM's, and there will be a trading village in a seperate claim, run by a GM. That will also be the case for the Arena. Of course, players can barter, organise their own trading and tournaments as well.

As you all know, the developers have decided to bring the guilds system from MMO also to Your Own. Just, not yet. So within the rules, you will read how it will already be more or less provided for on Havelock. It will not just be guilds anymore, but countries and kingdoms come to mind ...



I realise that many people, including myself, have invested alot of time and effort in the current server. Many have built wonderfull claims. For sure, I would like to thank all the players that were on the server sofar. Without them, it would have been a useless experience. Nonetheless I am convinced that the new server setup will be much more fun, with more players, more interaction, and more RP.

In that light, I hope to welcome you all back to the Havelock server, after the merger. The exact time for the wipe is not known yet, but it will be happening on coming Monday, the 14th of August.

In any case, I wish you all the very best, and alot of fun playing this game. Whether you choose to stay, or to leave. Games are there to have fun, and building a community is what it is all about. So, see you guys and gals on the new Havelock I hope ...
