Footage showing a New Zealand Police officer rocking out to Metallica on a guitar borrowed from a busker has gone viral.
NZ Police Recruitment shared the video to their Facebook page on Saturday afternoon where it was viewed nearly 60,000 times in the first day.
The uniformed officer can be seen in front of a crowd in Courtenay Place, Wellington on Friday night, playing the main riff to Metallica's Enter Sandman.
The officer then whips the crowd into a frenzy with a blues solo, as the busker and two fellow officers watch beside him.
He then hands back the electric guitar to the busker as the surrounding crowds breaks out in applause
It's not the first time that the New Zealand police have gained internet fame for their talents outside the force.
NZ Police Recruitment issued a running man dance challenge to emergency services across the world, from the US, the UK and Australia.
A variety of emergency services filmed themselves dancing to My Boo by the Ghost Town DJs.
