A Grand Return In The Works

As most of you are aware, JFHS has been stagnant for quite some time. After the loss of the Garry's Mod server in 2020 and the loss of the Discord server in late 2023, the idea of a JFHS revival was placed in the back of my mind and lost to the void. However, I have rediscovered that idea and have come up with a potential plan on how to give this group the proper community feel again.

For starters, the group will not be dedicated to one type of server, but rather multiple servers. I plan to find a variety of games that offer server hosting options within a decent budget—games that don’t require servers that I or another person administer, or games that will run well enough on dedicated hosting on a server PC. I will look into a variety of games that will hopefully be of interest to the majority of you.

Secondly, while the group was once centered around the common theme of Technicolor tiny horses, that ship has mostly sailed. This group will be for any and all walks of life, fandom, creed, and whatever. While the group was inherently open to all before, I hope to be more accommodating to a broader audience with the servers I/we potentially create as time goes on. Really, what I'm saying here is... less horse, more furry, weeb, nerd, etc. type stuff.

The last thing I intend to do with the community is to incorporate it with my Twitch channel. I personally would like to continue my streaming "career," if you could call it that, and I would like to entertain the idea of hosting community games of sorts with the community and offering collaboration with other streamers. I am not anything special in the slightest when it comes to Twitch popularity, but I digress.

With a rough idea of how I envision the server to be, I open my arms to anyone who is willing to lend any sort of help or feedback regarding the startup and life cycle of the server. Please feel free to get in contact with me via Discord or Steam message.

At the time of writing this summary, THE Discord server is still under construction but is getting closer.

Hey y'all! Just wanted to let y'all know that our very own tc2142 has made a sandbox Garry's Mod server! They aim to give you a server that would be an alternative to a "JFHS2." if tower unite is a game that allows server hosting then it can be looked into. my focus at least personally is more along the lines of game servers that arent entirely too sandbox-esque UNTIL either Brickadia or S&Box comes out. those are the 2 i have my sights on. until then if anyone would wish to host a server, for it then please feel free!

If anything, Tower Unite is kinda like Gmod, why not try that? The game it 10 dollars and the craziness in this one game is worth the memories.

@Gnocchi! well, JFHS is coming back but the plan is to offer more than just Gmod servers. I will say that 2 people have already generously offered to advertise their servers within the server already but they are Gmod servers. At the moment there is conan exiles server but thats going to be a permanent server so it will not be available once the server releases. lastly I do have someone helping me workout a modded minecraft server that will hopefully cater just enough to those that want to play vanilla and those who want modded. curse forge will still be required unfortunately but thats the cost of it. I have my eyes on some games in the future that may be good for servers or just grouping play. we'll just have to see what comes of them!
