@everyone Important Announcement with information about the wipe

Greetings Wastelanders
Hey all, as development has been picking up somewhat recently and we have a lot of neat things cooked up for everyone, we're going to be releasing another update soon, but this one will be a bit different.
The current beta has been running for a couple of years now, and in that time the game has changed a lot - significant balance changes, progression revisions and also fixes to the economy. The main problem with these changes however is that once they're done, they don't effect people who have already progressed, which in some ways used to be easy, and in other ways used to be harder. That combined with various duping issues and other economy issues has left the economy and player base in such a state that a wipe is the best solution.

Full Wipe
After much consideration, the staff team have decided that now is the right time for a **full wipe**.

This means that all character data including inventory items, storage containers, crimes, in-world pickups, ect. will all be wiped clean. We will be keeping certain global statistics such as hours played and player mutes, but everything else will be starting from Zero.

When?
The wipe will happen on Sunday, July 21st. At that point the server will go down for some time, and when it returns, **all of your characters will be gone**

Until Then?
We are announcing this wipe two weeks in advance for a few reasons, for one there's a few more Gamemaster tools I want to develop after the wipe, but we also wanted to give players a chance to play with some of the gamemode's higher end toys.

- PRE-WIPE EVENT MAP AND QUESTS - we are adding the map gm_boreas as an explorable map to the world - there you will find Oppenheimer, an enigmatic agent for the mysterious Cipher faction who is interested in the old lab in the tundra, but he's not the only one, other actors such as the Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave also want to unlock the secrets of the Boreas Site - travel there and enter a contract with Oppenheimer to instantly gain a massive amount of XP, as well as gain access to some of the highest tiered equipment in the game which you will be able to play with freely until the wipe.
- NON FACTION PVP DISABLED - all content can be explored in the game without any PVP. This will allow players who have not previously experienced areas where PVP is enabled to get a feel for what to expect - however - if you represent a faction, PVP with factions hostile to yours is still possible.

What comes next?
After the wipe, there's still more I'd like to do, one of the main things is the community system of course, but I'm having a lot of trouble finishing it, so that will be done whenever its done. However, since a big part of the Community System was community storage to more easily transfer items, we're hoping that the new trade system will satisfy enough in place and allow for more easy group play.

We are also doing a lot of work on the gamemode to make it run standalone and are continuing to work towards releasing the source code so you can run your own Resurgence, or play it in single player or coop with a couple of friends on your own private dedicated or listen server, however work is still ongoing for this.

Conclusion
I know a lot of you will be sad to see your characters removed, but this is the cost of running this as a beta. Sometimes these things need to happen, however due to many fixes, rebalances, removal of dupe exploits and new GM Tools, we will not have to do another wipe soon if ever.

TL;DR
Wipe on Sunday the 21st of July, in the meantime you can fight enclave in a new map.
