What games are you playing on Steam?
That's the question. What are you playing? What are you debating about buying? What would you recommend?

I was playing Civilization 5 (just finished the Smoky Skies scenario) and now I'm playing Final Fantasy 7 - an amazing game and one of my favourites.

I have been debating about Civ 5 (and I just missed that amazing summer sale deal for like $10!). I was a big fan of Civ 4. How are you liking it?

FF7 was the first FF game I played and I loved it way back on PS1. I wanted to play it again, but I just don't think I could find the time to play it again...Is it good on Steam?

Civ 5 is totes amazeballs. I've played Civ 4 as well but 5 is much better. Not just graphic-wise but the whole interface is a lot more easy to use. I missed that summer deal as well but I'm sure in a few months time they'll have another one, this time including Brave New World.

As for FF7 its really just the same as on the PS1. I haven't noticed any real difference with regards to gameplay or story. The characters are a bit clearer, but the pre-rendered backgrounds are quite poor (on my machine any way). But there are some achievements that come with FF7 on Steam. They're mainly for using limits and finishing parts of the story (and killing the Weapons) but it's fun to play the game again regardless of the achievements.

Nice!! I have been looking for an RPG to play on Steam, though I really can't find one that's got me "SOLD", ya know? I guess if I can't find one that really grabs me, maybe I'll try FF7 again. Been loving Rogue Legacy right now, and although not an RPG, it's pretty frickin amazing! Loving it!

What is rogue legacy? I'm mainy a console player but I'd like to play more games on the PC. But the main problem is I'm none too dexterous; there's simply far too many buttons to cover with one pair of hands. Can you recommend any non-action games on Steam (and cheap as well) :)

I'm fairly new to Steam myself and I bought a BUNCH of games during the Summer Sale and one of my favorites is Rogue Legacy. It's a pretty hard game, lots of dying though you're suppossed to die because then your child takes up the adventure where you left off. It's actually very cool and I like it. For less "dexterity" and a good puzzle game, I reccommend Gunpoint! It's actuslly the reason I started playing Steam games because I kept hearing people rave about the game. I can say it is in fact very fun (and I think it's under $10). And have you heard of X-Com?

I bought Monaco and Magika to play with friends, though we haven't all gotten together to play it yet (and I am just figuring out how to use my PS3 controllers for local co-op....a little confusing).

There's a bunch of demos for games so you can at least try em first and then put em on your wishlist till they go on sale. There's a demo for Gunpoint and X-Com I'm sure.

Do you play Co-Op games or just single player games?

I tend to just play single player games, but I do sometimes play online with others, though rarely. It's mainly Battlefield: Bad Company 2 that I play online. What is X-Com?

X-Com is a tactical strategy military/RPG. Aliens land and your team goes in to investigate and get rid of em. It's turn based and tactical so it's not too ''dexterous'', but gorgeous and fun. There's a demo on Steam for free and you can try it out. I like it alot, though I haven't bought it yet. It was on sale for $10 during the summer sale, but I missed it.

Assassin's Creed II. I like solving those climbing problems (keeps the brain busy). Also, the game concept is ingenious. I'm into bouldering in real life (same, solving problems) so they're tightly connected.
