Official Response from Valve

The moment we've been waiting for, an official announcement!! It is safe to launch and play TF2! If you want to continue taking precautions, by all means do so. But here's an official statement regarding TF2. Happy gaming!

"From our review, we have not found any reason for TF2 players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds (as always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security)."
