Welcome to the Euroskillz Steam Community page.

Euroskillz was started in february 2005 with one game server, a Team Fortress Classic Skills server.
It grew over the years to having 3 TFC skills, 1 Jump server, 1 Fun server and 1 Fortress Forever server.
Sadly the game servers was shut down after more than 10 years of service.

Team Fortress Classic or TFC is a game with 9 different player classes, all equipped with more or less powerful weapons. One weapon is the Concussion
Grenade. It is not lethal but propel the user by its concussive features. Soon some people understood that this little green grenade could be used to do
more complicated moves with, and the first real concmap was born in december 2000. This was the start of something that became a very vivid sub culture for
years to come, the TFC Skills Community.

Euroskillz was a game server archive for most of those TFC skills maps created since 2000. It had skills maps not only for concing but also pipe
jumping, rocket jumping and some more or less obscure skills. The jump server was also host for a lot of climb,surf, and bhop maps and if you needed some relaxation, you could visit the fun server.

So, the main objective on Euroskillz was 'Get from the start to the end of the map' or just chill out :).

Some maps was easy, some average and some insanelly hard.

10 year anniversary of Euroskillz

Reno chatted me up the other day and said "Its soon 10 years since Euroskillz started".
No way, I replied. It cant be!!!
Time just cant go that fast! Or can it?

I just had to dig into all the old files and found a chat message from the owner of TFC4Ever from 2005-02-16:

"TFC4ever-Stefan: when u want to upload a map, use ftp login name web3 and pw is ltllama. go to /html/hlds_l_skill/ and u will find your server.
copy maps and stuff then under /tfc/maps and so on. like windows."

I had been playing on his server for a while with [HCG][♥♥♥] Demon and Ramon and Big Fat German Guy for a year. I one day suggested, "Why not have a skills server?" Stef accepted on the term that I managed the server.

I would say that was the start of it all. Stefan set that server up the 16th of february 2005.

So on Monday it is 10 years since I got the crazy idea to start a skillz server.
It was called Skill@TFC4Ever but later was renamed to Euroskillz.

So to celebrate this lovelly mental institution called Euroskillz and all my fond memories if it I have assembled a collection of old demos.

Starring:
- The Dustbowl event with Kermits vs Dolls with a Karaoke plugin added.
- A couple of sponge bobs on a lamp
- n3c moon walking
- Some soldiers doing, ehh, wtf are they doing?
- And the REVELATION! What actually happened during the Prize Ceremony for the first Ez[AM] player Emp, where he got a headshot before receiving his prize? But! Who was the shooter?

Merry Christmas Old Friends

When I was a kid the spirit of christmas came from memories of santa-camo-dressed neighbours, a grandpa who was handed the fattiest parts of the christmas ham, a father with his plastic christmas tree, and a mother with so much "must do for christmas" in her.

As an adult I think back to the great times with robots, frogs, ducks, toothpastes, swamp bobs and what not who messed around on Euroskillz around christmas time. Present and crimbo tree throwing admins. And the most friendliest of friends online who tried to create that special tfc christmas feeling. By God, how I loved those times. Thank You!!!

We all tried to create that place which tried to proof everyone on the outside wrong: No, you dont need to grow up at all. You can be a kid forever. Just play and be happy with all your buddies.

That's all that matters

I am not much of a religious man but Euroskillz was one of the most spiritual experiences I have ever had. And it always peaked around CRIMBO time <3

So to all of you in this crypt of memories which is the Euroskillz Steam group I whish you all

I know one of the guitar song is Rylynn by Andy Mckee, but I don't know about the fast paced guitar song... I think it's by Larry Coryell, but if anyone knows what it is could you please share?
